2 part trade: Mitch marner to Calgary for future considerations, mitch marner to Toronto at 50% retained for an unprotected 1st round pick in 2027.
Gives them room to potentially take a bad contract or two off someone in exchange for picks or prospects. Tons of flexibility here. Connie’s done a good job in his first year on the job
