Obviously this was in garbage time but he looked improved, really no bad throws. I’m still not convinced he is capable of being an NFL starter but he could be a good backup.
This is all good but I wanna see him start a game and play against first string with the game not out of reach. Then we will know if he can be something. I’m hoping Canales starts him later in the season once everything is completely out of reach.
He struggles reading defenses when they crowd the line. Bears didn’t do that to him because they were in prevent at the time.
Can only imagine the box score readers if that deflected ball got picked that hit the safety in the face lmao.
He still looks like he doesn’t trust the oline as he escapes pretty quickly on most of the plays. Prolly a holdout of last years disaster of an oline. I like how on most of his scrambles he was still looking downfield.
