  1. I wonder how much was adjusting and how much Houston stopped playing their best players. I wish Houston would have kept their guys in so we could see how our adjustments really worked. But plenty of opportunity coming at us.

  2. Loved the episode David! Thanks!

Noticed the TV guys got moved off the floor. It’s a bummer, you guys are great at what you do and I feel like you guys can get better in game vibes and info when you are close.

Towards the end of the second Utah ran the same play 3 times in a row each time George was yelling at Sexton to go to the right side but sexton went left. Weird exchange between them. Sure it’s just getting things rolling after only a week of training camp, but George seemed to spend a lot of time struggling to get the offense initiated and yelling/directing the offense.

Georges point guard feel doesn’t really seem to be there (based off last season, not knee jerking to one game). His scoring feel is great just not his facilitator. Obviously Flagg or Bailey is the Goal but a big point guard would be a nice consolation prize. (Traore, Demin, Harper in that order for me… hopefully Demin shines this year cuz a 6’8 all star point guard would be a nice change up from years past)

If spacing stays an issue it will be hard for Hardy to keep Juzang off the floor. Not as big of an issue if Sensabaugh plays pg minutes.

Please tell Bolerjack that Collier is not 6’5. That USC info is throwing him off.

  3. The "not ever playing without being a best player on the floor" -thing is interesting. 🤔

I think that's one big difference between European and USA players growing up. Even if European players play in academies (and are the best player there) and won't go pro as kids, best players always fight to get to the national teams or even just to train with the senior national team. They rarely have a situation where they aren't at least periodically playing superior competition which on itself pushes them to try to grow more.

  4. Brice is an absolute stud man. 30+ year jazz fan here and new sub and I am so excited about our young guys man. I'm not even concerned with standings at all this year but I'm still going to watch every single game because I've never seen a young group for this team that has collectively as much talent and potential. I hope ainge doesn't nuke it again and gives the talent time to grow. Too bad we won't have Clarkson, Lauri, or Collins when we're actually good though.
