  1. I think they are better than a team that needs to rebuild. That being said, the window is coming to a close. Give them 2025. The pieces are there. You need depth to cover your butt on your 3 injury prone studs (and hope Royce Lewis remembers what a baseball is) and a few pitching additions. After that, a little injury luck and this is a playoff team. That being said, I am a Twins optimist, much to my peril.

  2. Id hate to admit, but the more the twins disappointed me the more I want to talk about them lmao thank you for these episodes even when the Szn for the twins is done

  3. They need front end pitching and more bullpen arms. They have bats coming up. Maybe they should trade some for something better than a #3 starter. Lopez needs a huge bounce back season. He was garbage last year. Almost every game he starts he allows a 1st inning bomb and the Twins start the game down a couple runs. It was like clockwork. If pablo is starting put money on a 1st inning jack and you will win more money than you lose. I like Joe Ryan and Ober has some grit to him. To me Pablo is overrated and gives you something to feel good about maybe once a month. Usually very frustrated with his starts. Duran needs a rebound season as well. He used to be unhittable now not so much. Jax is quality. If they want to be the Rays and As theu need to get better pitchers. The Twins trot out 3 #3 starters thats not gonna get it done. None of them have amazing stuff.

  4. Rebuilding and Rightsizing are one and the same term in this situation. The high dollar players do not fit the little engine that could business model. To their credit the Pohlads have never lied about their intentions to remain profitable at all cost so they will never pour the money it would require to push this roster over the hump. So that leaves the Twins just one path to success which is catching lightning in a bottle with a bunch of young cheap players. “Rebuilding” is unfortunately probably the right move to bring the roster and the self imposed financial constraints in line with each other.

  5. Since Baldelli is still here to make a mess of things i dont care what they do. I wont go to any games, and i doubt i will watch them much (if that is even possible) because i can't
stand Baldelli. a left handed pitcher comes in and left handed hitters are batting over three hundred. righties are batting .230 agains him and Baldelli (mr statistics) take out the left handed batter and pinch hits a rightie. WTF

  6. How about Griffin Jax in the starting rotation? I know this would create a hole in the setup role, but I could see it happening. Easier to replace a bullpen arm than a guy that has the pitch arsenal to pitch in the rotation. Lopez, Ryan, Ober, Jax, SWR looks good. Move Paddock to the bullpen or trade.

  7. Baseball no longer rewards teams for intentionally losing, a rebuild will take years as the twins have no trade chips. If you think the fans are angry now, see what happens in consecutive losing years.

  8. Twins management needs to trade Vasquez, Paddick, Castro, and kirilloff to open up salary, then add 10 million from last year's payroll to bring in players that will make a difference.

  9. I honestly don't know what I'd do with this team at this point. Your highest paid "leaders" can't stay on the field. Your promising youngsters have come back down to earth, and some of them are starting to look like outright busts. Your manager is making decisions detrimental to winning games, yet will be returning. You have festering internal disagreements. Younger audiences (or anybody for that matter) are unable to stream the games. There doesn't appear to be any meaningful accountability for failure within the organization's decision makers. The owner prioritizes the business over championships, so it doesn't look like payroll will be increasing. You have division rivals doing more with less and are showing a hunger desperately lacking here. It's a complete mess from top to bottom. I hope they can find a way through it, but I'm not optimistic.
EDIT: Looks like they just sorted-out the streaming, so at least that's one less problem. Now they just need to field a product people will want to watch.

  10. Im currently shopping for a new baseball team to follow. Still love baseball, but can do another season as a Twins fan. I don't care what they try to do this off season because it won't be to win a World Series, it will be to make money. Not getting more of mine.

  11. I'll always be a twins fan no matter the season but it's time for new ownership and manager and can we please stop going after players who are close to the end of their career let's bring up some of these younger players and let's see what they can do
