  1. I appreciate what Friedge is saying but also, duh. Of course the Wild brass know they need to show they can be a contender, even Leopold has acknowledged this multiple times. As far as money goes he’ll get whatever $ amount he wants w/ signing bonuses on top. All thats left is they’ll need some of the young guns develop like they hope and it’ll be okay. It’s not time to be on the panic train yet.

  2. Hopefully they dont make dumb decisions after the parise/suter unload. The wild can typically make the playoffs, so it’s not like they’re shit tier like the West coast teams. The Wild are just missing a couple pieces that will make the difference in the post season.

  3. Yea this isn’t really news. If the Wild are horrible this season and miss playoffs again, I doubt he re-signs. If we make it and win a round I think he does for sure. He does seem to like it in MN but ultimately he seems like a guy that wants to win more than anything so if he doesn’t think this squad can, he’s gone. This season is huge.

  4. two more years of this BS click bait.

I want him here. He is replaceable. Everyone is replaceable. And change happens.

  5. Not sure why people take Friedman so seriously he has a history of some pretty sensational clickbait type stuff

  6. This doesn’t make sense. Kaprizov knows the Wild have been in cap hell and knows they still are. He’s not going to bolt right when the team gets flexibility to make moves. I don’t think this season has much bearing on him staying at all.

  7. To be fair, anyone who thought Kap would sign another contract here is at least slightly delusional.

  8. Why would anyone want to play in Minnesota if given the chance? What have they ever accomplished besides being mediocre?

  9. I just hope he makes a decision one way or another next summer. Worst case scenario is we have to trade him at the deadline next year and have a limited number of teams to work with.

  10. Uncle Fester better protect him from the cheap players…. He gets hurt .. Wild are done
