[Lance Hornby] Berube apparently isn’t high on confirming starting goalies, even though Woll was talking about his excitement for Montreal and Jersey native Stolarz is pumped for the game there Thursday.

So pretty much an open secret Woll is opening day starter and Stolarz gets to play in front of his family
“After a long talk with my good friend Mike Babcock, I’ve decided we will be starting Matt Murray both games to start the season.”
Has Berube considered letting Stolarz buy his family tickets for that game then benching him?
It’s worked amazingly for one of our prior coaches.
I think it would be weird not to start Woll who has some experience for us already. There’s literally no other criteria to determine it, so give it to him out of respect. No need to create drama immediately.
It’s hard for goalies to be prepared when they don’t know who is starting, a big part of being a goalie is being prepared mentally hard to do that when you may or may not be playing.
Don’t worry, NHL head office will remind Berube about how the league feels about gambling and the effect announcing starting goalies has on the money line.
How many minutes did Woll even play this pre-season? Hopefully he’s good to go.
Woll is starting against Montreal? He’s gonna do great until he slips on a banana peel and is out for six months
Who will start vs Montreal? Well for privacies sake let’s call him Justin W. No that’s too obvious, let’s say J Woll.
