[Brian Baldinger] @Browns the QB is obviously struggling. This lack of execution on basic concepts defines his struggles. No way can you miss this opportunity. It is an NFL layup. #baldysbreakdowns

  1. This is 100% not on Stefanski

This is 100% not on the Offensive Line

This is 100% a read that ANY Pro QB *HAS* to already know & understand pre-snap. Aikens was also open in the right flat… This was a *self sack*, by an unprepared sack of shit.

  2. We need like the opposite of what they did in Rudy with the jerseys, but to bench Watson.

  3. Jeudy was so pissed he dropped an easy td the very next play lmao. All these guys fucking suck.

  4. Even on his scramble he runs right into a defender instead of taking the open lane

  5. This was bad because it was a TD but I don’t even think this was close to the worst miss of the day.

This game was chock full of these kind of “you *have* to make that play” kind of opportunities. I think it was this play (https://youtu.be/sBurLh26WUQ?t=420) where I was just like fuck it, I’m gonna go do yard work.

The dude literally played like he was 80% blind or tripping on mushrooms or some shit, or maybe both. The difference between the week 4 tape and the week 5 tape is genuinely inexplicable to me. Like he did not see *anything*. How do you go from quick, decisive, throwing guys open … to literally unable to make a basic pitch and catch to a guy wide open 10 feet in front of you?

Like seriously is he having some sort of serious vision problem? https://youtu.be/sBurLh26WUQ?t=191 … how does this happen? How do you let that happen? It’s like he literally didn’t see it and it’s directly in front of him.

    Truly perplexing.

  6. I just don’t think he trusts the right side of that line (ie. Jones) which is adding to his issues. I think that’s where he had a 5 step drop, and by the time he’s set, he’s seeing the end make his move around Jones. It becomes questions of why he took such a deep drop in shotgun in the first place, and how can you trust Jones enough on a key play to not give him some type of help via RB chip block on that side.

  7. Watson’s ass needs to meet that bench. I’ve never in my years of watching football seen someone so bad at their job

  8. I dont want to make too many excuses for the highly paid professionals these guys are, but the drops make some sense as a symptom of genuine surprise the ball is getting to them after seeing stuff like this

  9. There is really nothing left to say about this clown. He is literally, by the numbers, the worst QB since the return of the Browns. I thought there was a chance this wouldn’t work, but in no way did I expect it would go this poorly.

  10. I feel like Watson has a version of the yips. He’s so terrified of throwing a pick that he often doesn’t make any play at all. When he has to make a tight pass, he throws a grounder or aims the ball and it’s slightly behind the receiver. Everything he does looks constipated.

He’s a legit head case and only years away from the game is going to cure it (if it does at all).
