Great attitude. He’s too skilled, he just needs to keep the work ethic up. He will be back, hopefully to stay.
He deserved to be sent down, but using it as a learning experience will benefit him long term for sure.
This is why it’s great to have the rockets in Laval, it’s basically in montreal so it feels less like a punishment since you are still close to habs facility
It’s always better to be called up on a high from tearing it up in the AHL. It’s the case for Roy and Mailloux. Better for them and the team.
C’est pas une punition, c’est simplement du management de personnel. Dvorak, Armia, Evans, Pezzetta, ABB et Savard sont tous des valeurs échangeables. Même avec le retour de Laine, il va revenir au grand club, juste pas pour commencer la saison.
This will do him some good I think. Its a wake up call. He won’t take anything for granted anymore.
I really like this move by St-Louis. No one was criticizing his play despite showing a clear lack of effort during pre season. When the media & fans made scenarios about the team, it always included Joshua Roy like he was a lock-in. My guess is that St-Louis saw that, and didn’t like the lack of effort from him.
Roy is not in a position where he can coast. I hope it is the wake up call he needed to step up, and be a better overall player that shows intensity. From what I see, he understood the situation well. I want to see him create more plays of his own. He’s good at that, but he needs to try driving play, instead of waiting for things to happen around him before actually trying. He’s too passive. Compare his drive to Kapanen and honestly the decision is pretty easy to make as a head coach.
J’aime se gars là. Lâche pas le progrès Roy. Tu va l’avoir ta place.
