  1. Are you real ,I think your asking to much from a cheap organization ,Sorry I've seen enough of Ricketts and ,Jed and Hawkins the three stooges of baseball .Sell the team if your not not going to spend to make this team worthy of their loyal fans ,have a nice day ,more like Goodwill.😅

  2. Dodgers are ahead of the Cubs, Legends in both Brooklyn and LA , They have far more HOF star power, NYY , Dodgers , Red Sox, Cubs ,Braves ,Cardinals, are the top tier .

  3. They’ll do nothing. They’re content to rake in the money. I watched nearly every game this year on Marquee and there is constant advertising. Takes the joy out of watching baseball. I’ll not do that next year unless they PROVE to me they really want to build a championship team. How has Jed managed to keep his job? That’s hard to understand to me. Cubs fans deserve better.

  4. I still feel like making their own network and taking things off WGN was a huge mistake. How much money are they really making from people buying Marquee compared to how many fans they have from having a nationwide TV deal where people can watch the Cubs for free and grow the fanbase more.

The Cubs need a huge splash this offseason. Trade for Sandy Alcantara or Mason Miller and Langoliers or Vlad Guerrero Jr or Bo Bichette. They have the prospect capital to get a couple of these players.

  5. Ricketts seem too involved with developing his empire around Wrigley. If the team continues to underperform much longer, the fan base will begin to dwindle. Cub fans are loyal, but the cost of going to games is becoming prohibitive for a lot of people, especially fans with young kids. If you lose the younger generation, eventually it will catch up to you. The days of die hard fans are beginning to wane. Look at the south side fan base if you want an example of what could happen here.

  6. They just tore it down in 2021. Not a rebuild……they tore that shit down. They've really only had TWO offseasons of putting things back together. The built a top5 farm system and those players are NOW at the point to be given a shot or traded off to fill holes. It's a process. I remember people talking about what the Philles are doing. Thos people forget that the Phillies didn't sniff the playoff for the 10 years before they went to the World Series in 2022. Epstien took 5 years to get it done. Well, Jed started in the same position.

  7. The Cubs stinks and smells like dead fish every year except for the year 2016. I been a fan for the last 50 years and this franchise suck big "you know what"! Always been cheap and always been wrong. This garbage team is known to been known as " next year, always next time" team. I am sick of cheap ass Ricketts family and the past cheapass owners.

  8. Please Jed, let us keep Wisdom, Smyly and Mastrobony! We will get to WS with these guys! Let us build around Patrick Wisdom and Smyly! Go Cubs!

  9. The complaints about the broadcasting, is where broadcasting is right now. I do miss the days of Brickhouse howling and Harry telling his stories and pronouncing names backwards, but everything has changed.

  10. Cubs are lucky their fans are stokholm syndrome victums. Ricketts has turned the cubs into bland corporate product #463771, with an emphasis on sports betting. As long as the money keeps flowing like the beer ricketts wont do shit to improve the team. The organization lacks attention to detail, losing out on cheaper margin playerd in luege of signing washup up vets at slightly cheaper deals. Lack of detail is also seen how they up keep wrigley. Bleachers have clipping paint and plugged storm drains, ankle deep water greeting last time ricketts suckered me into showing up to his field. You think stienbiener would have had put up with chipping paint.

  11. Sadly, the worst part of listening to Marquee Cubs broadcasts is Boog being part of that tandem. I think he enjoys baseball but I want him to be an "ALL IN" Cubs broadcaster such as Jack Brickhouse and Harry Carey were. I very much enjoyed listening to Len Kasper and JD call games as well. I really wish Pat Hughes would have taken over the TV broadcaster seat after Len Kasper left. I realize that he really enjoys being a radio broadcaster but I really enjoy it when he guest calls Cubs games. The Booger belongs on ESPN, FOX, or MLB channel. It is perfect for a national broadcaster.

  12. The Cubs have created a hybrid culture–7/8 modern/corporate/profit focused and 1/8 holding onto the Wrigley Field mystique. Literally the only thing left of Cubs historic culture is the field. Someday, that will give way to a new park…vines can grow on new walls. At that point, the metamorphosis will be complete. 7/8 of it has happened.

  13. Are we a baseball team? Do we have an identity? $$ for everything but team delivers nothing… We have no secret sauce… Jed is a contact negotion guy, NOT a president of baseball operations. He's so outside of his league…. Let's have Jed fill the ketchup dispenser behind section 321R and negotiate the next Soto contact. He needs to take a knee.

  14. Parker is amazing. Great insights. Bravo! I saw the segment with . Sam captured it beautifully. If Marquee wants to improve the ratings, they give Parker a contract.

  15. Except we have petrified turd leadership. You guys know how I feel. We were right there to end last season and would be division champs right now. I can't watch until hoyer is gone and won't spend a penny on MLB. I'm going to watch Mexican league next year if Rossy doesn't get a team. I'll be back after hoyer is gone and we start the rebuild over.

  16. I couldn’t disagree more about the play-by-play from Boog and JD. However, when you start throwing in additional color analysts and guest play-by-play announcers… that’s when you start feeling like you’re a national broadcast and you lose me. Boog feels like home already.

  18. While the cubs organization definitely needs to act more like a crown jewel, I will say there’s hope in the fact that I think Counsell realizes the importance of the cubs. Also loved Parker on the show that was great
