James was BPA in the offseason
Yeah he’s been horrible.. getting bullied left and right
Andre James is the Derek Carr of Centers. Great at times but wildly inconsistent. I’d rather have consistently mediocre than the ups and downs.
We need an Owner much more

Eventually, I hope Parham moves to Center and we draft a Guard. Parham is little undersized for Guard and this way, we can plan to move away from James with a year to develop the rookie. Guard market is so overvalued so finding one in FA will be costly.
I don’t get why we haven’t upgraded at Center. We need a Rodney Hudson, Don Mosebar, Barrett Robbins style stud Center again.
That line we had in 2016 was great. Too bad we can’t get back to that.
I would say more than a QB. At least we could have a running game.
He’s been that way for three years. My personal favorite is the blindness unengaged, standing in the middle as a rusher runs right by him.
Never liked Andre James as a center. No idea why we’ve stuck with him there for as long as we have. Monheim, any of the Alabama IOL, and LSU OTs… I’d be happy… Edit: Jake slaughter is cool too. Jaeden Roberts, Tyler Booker, Emory Jones, and Will Campbell is the dream.. those 5 dudes play with some damn POWER… would be a hell of an upgrade on this soft ass line.
Move JPJ to center. He’s a natural.

Early offseason reports were the Raiders were going to take hard look at rebuilding the OL then they got scared away with the sticker prices on guards and centers. So they’re like well Andre James will take half those prices and he wasn’t THAT bad was he? Well come on down! I don’t understand how the OL can be as bad as it is with essentially the same guys (sans Elumenor) and the addition of JPJ. Wasn’t Parham a C out of college too?
Sanjit has been saying this for a while now. Good coaching drafts an elite center and plays him anywhere but…. this concerns me. lol
I still don’t understand why they decided to switch schemes when a majority of our o line and rb’s can’t run it. Did they really think the guys would just switch seamlessly? Did Telesco even scout this team before coming in?
