  1. 'same as it ever was, same as it ever was…' Just the same old roster plastered into whatever small cap space louzer had keeping in mind 11 signing doesn't happen without added cap $$$'s and a khl'er signed for cheap. Isles better hope 11 and 7 can play in top six and contribute some goals and for good health. With that and a year of roy should make middling isles a playoff team once again. Laziness not wanted from roy as seen by the dumping of 18 to b'port, an obvious roy call. Now the word is louzer is interested in another khl'er m. shebanov. Maybe he knows m. typslakov? Louzer scouring the khl these days for cheap help since his capped out ass has no $$$'s to sign actual nhl talent.

  2. I feel this roster is significantly different. An upgrade on the 1st line, an upgrade on the 2nd line, an upgrade on the 4th line, and a healthy top 6 defense. Throw in Patrick Roy for a full season and there's no reason to think this team can't hit the 100 point mark. Obviously injuries and slumps can happen, but I am more optimistic after seeing this team in preseason than I was seeing them on paper before the preseason. A lot also hinges on a healthy and an improved season by Sorokin. I predict they make the playoffs again and it doesn't come down to the last game of the season for them to clinch.

  3. NHL Rule 14D; “No playing coach or playing managers or goalkeeper shall be permitted to act as Captain or Alternate Captain.” This was placed in effect in 1948.

  4. Wonderful analysis this episode Gil.
The cozy foundation of the LI country club has FINALLY been shaken.
The ramifications of that will likely be more powerful than the modest but important roster changes we’ve witnessed this offseason.
Bravo Patty Roy, and respect to Lou for allowing our new coach to make an impact 👏🏻
