  1. I’ve seen a lot of solid play out of him, he’s definitely much improved over last year. But I’d pull the reins on any “jump to elite” commentary.

  2. Better than expected. Still looks like an average corner though. Whole defense has been a letdown this season.

  3. Corners usually take about 3 years to fully reach their potential. If Bennett’s trajectory continues on that path he will be an insane pickup for the round he was drafted in.

As it stands now, he’s a solid player.

  4. Once he grabs those INTs, he’ll be considered a great corner. Right now, he’s good but we need to see picks, not just pass break ups. Either way, dude has been making a huge stride forward this season. Like him and Banks from Maryland. Glad we picked him up when we weren’t able to grab Banks.

  5. He definitely needs to learn to tackle, way too many plays where he dives at a ball carrier’s feet and they get extra yards

But overall I’m impressed by his pass coverage especially in press. Dude can run with anyone, I trust him the most of any of our corners RN

  6. MCD and Ziegler brought in some good talent through the draft and free agency. Lacking at QB but other than that they did pretty good.

  7. He needs to be much more physical. He’s a liability in run defense. Also, he gets lost in zone coverage.

  8. Consistency and tackling. He’s been somewhat up and down, and (Like the entire defense) missed roughly 1 billion tackles.

But I LOVE some of what I’ve seen. When he’s in contested catch situations, his hands have looked like *weapons*.

  9. I’ve been impressed. He is certainly exceeding expectations for this year. I think he has earned his spot as the #3 corner on the team behind Hobbs & Jack Jones. If his play continues, he could emerge as our clear #2 guy maybe even #1.

  10. He’s been looking good, but he keeps missing tackles giving up a LOT of extra yards.

  11. Look for the ball lol. He’s been playing the receivers hands so well but he’s right there damn near every time. Turn your head and get you one, Jak

  12. He’s tracking nicely. Will end up being a much more valuable player than Tyree Wilson

  13. He needs a couple of INTs to be “Elite” but he’s been very solid all season. I’d argue that he’s better and is playing better than Jack Jones. Very happy with him

  14. JB has been fun to watch this year. He has really grown since last season and I’m excited for him. Definitely a bright spot on D! Glad he’s getting some love.
