  1. Embarrassing offensive performance so far. Not going to win many series going scoreless 25/27 innings

  2. Back to back shutouts is fucking pathetic. Inexcusable, especially when the pitching held them to 3 runs in each game.

  3. We all saw how this offense approached things this year. Specifically once we got to just before the all star break the cracks began to show. Overly aggressive early in counts (Josh Naylor flys out on first pitch…). Not forcing pitchers to make tough pitches. Soft grounders and pop flys. Pulling damn near everything. Unable to adjust and hit a changeup to save our lives. Not playing small ball (lead off double, out to right side, sac fly). We all saw it. They had to see it to.

Valaika did nothing. We saw no improvement for 3 months. No changes to plate approach. To anything. Maybe you can say Rocchio got better? Maybe. But that’s about it.

And now we’re setting offensive futility records in the post season for our franchise because of it.

  4. Can’t win a game if you don’t score a run. Getting blanked twice in a row is extra embarrassing. No wiggle room left. Come out tomorrow and bring the series back home.

  5. What a pitiful display. This lineup should be embarrassed. Absolutely no execution at the plate. Zero runs in two games is laughable. Another postseason disappointment is right around the corner.

  6. Bats are pathetic and dead. Ump was Angel Hernandez level awful today. Not a recipe for success

  7. 20 damn innings straight without scoring a run. How fucking embarrassing. Not to mention it’s an MLB record

  8. Said it in the game thread – Clase, Fry, Gimenez and Ramirez – brutal couple of games in big moments. Those are big-name guys for us and they’ve had their chances. Gotta hope Game 4 plays out differently for them.

Vogt over-managed this game and killed any chances for Manzardo and Brennan to see if they could make an impact.

  9. Fucking embarrassing. Could’ve thrown 2 perfect games in a row and we still wouldn’t have won either game in regulation

  10. What do these guys do between games? Why cant they fucking hit? Called strikes, swinging at nothing, no clutch. Just awful.

  11. Remember when we had the Yankees 2-1 2 years ago and thought we were all set. Let’s do that now

Backs against the wall. How are we doing this tomorrow? Going out like bitches, or taking it home for a chance to keep the run alive? It’s up to them if they want it. Someone start screaming in the clubhouse we need as much juice as possible

  12. I can’t blame the pitching. 3 runs in each of the last two games is damn good. Do better Jose.

  13. 1. I don’t want to see Bo Naylor catching the rest of the postseason. I’ll take Hedges defense versus Bo Naylor’s nothing.

    2. Really didn’t like Vogt deciding to PH everyone in the 2nd inning. You knew they were doing a bullpen game, why fire your bullets that quickly?

  14. I am Jack’s lack of surprise or whatever.

Was working for much of this, thankfully, but what I heard sounded same old. Totally winnable games but the lineup just isn’t good enough

  15. That was a touching write-up Kwan wrote in the Tribune. I’m sure he actually felt like it was going to be a fun post-season. I’m sure he figured the rest of the team would actually show up, and not just lay down after 1 lucky inning to start the series.

  16. I’ve been saying it for decades, the pressure to win in the postseason for Cleveland teams is just too much, they fold. 1 championship among all major sports in 60 years is too much for them to hold on their shoulders and it collapses them.

  17. I will no longer get excited about ANY shit this team does in the regular season in the future unless they get at least ONE real bat to augment Jose. Same old same old, can’t do it when it counts. Fry’s hot start had these geniuses thinking they were set. And what the hell happened to Gimenez’s bat?

  18. 20 scoreless innings in a row. 2 runs in the last 27 innings. These guys think they won the series after scoring 5 runs in the 1st inning of the 1st game? This is unbelievably depressing.

  19. What an absolute embarrassment. Vogt overmanaged the fuck out of this game. We can’t hit a meatball to save our lives. Pitching has been good but none of it matters because we have an offense that would lose a tee ball game.

  20. Two games in a row where they don’t score a single run. They deserve to lose this series for that alone.

  21. Someone needs to light a fire under their asses. You are full grown men that earned your spot here, now grow up and play like you mean it. I love that Vogt is wholesome but they need screamed at right now. 20 scoreless innings is unacceptable

  22. Rinse and repeat the same story every postseason.

✅ Our stars don’t show up- “they’re human”

✅ We let their stars dominate flawlessly

    ✅ Our bats disappear

✅ We let a few nobody’s on the other team play like stars, how our stars are supposed to be playing

  23. I’m not sure if anyone caught this, but in game 1 the announcers were talking about how Vogt always set his lineup based on the starting pitcher, even in bullpen games (like game 1 and this game). It worked in game 1, but it’s pretty clear that Vogt needs to use some more thought than “assume the starter is going to face the whole lineup” during bullpen games. Pinch hitting for a batter before they get to bat is inexcusable. You have a list of their post season roster and an insane amount of scouting. How about you figure out who they are likely to pitch in what innings and set your lineups accordingly? Let’s use a little more brain power than “lol starter always goes 5 innings”

  24. I hate to sound like a minnesota fan, but this was largely a game of bad results despite a good process. This team got more hits than Detroit. They had many more hard hit balls. They put more balls in play. They were squeezed by terrible umpiring.

The cruel truth is that process is not good enough for the postseason. Hitting with RISP is luck at the end of the day, and every ball in play is subject to randomness. None of that was on our side today.

  25. Can’t get mad for things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad at things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad for things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad at things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad for things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad at things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad for things that are out of my control. Can’t get mad at things that are out of my control.

  26. On the bright side in the past 20 years we have blown a 3-1 to Boston, a 3-1 lead to the Cubs, a 2-0 lead to the Yankees and a 2-1 lead to the Yankees. Maybe it’s our turn to flip a series

  27. Where is SpongeBob?!?! This offense is worse than 2022

  28. I hate to criticize mangers and coaches who know a lot more than me, but Vogt over managed this game imo. Really felt he took a lot of wind out of their sails with the early hooks. He may have lost Manzardo and Brennan for the rest of the season mentally. Got to give guys a chance.

  29. I am from U.K my football team sucks (soccer to you guys 😃) and I have supported the Guardians for the last 10 years . Heart ache after heart ache.
