Ro needs to step it up. I have faith in him because he’s Ro, but even with the new scheme dudes out there dropping ints and struggling in coverage
As has been the case this entire season, the big questions will be the right side of the o-line and the secondary
The Commanders and Bengals defense have a similar problem: They have difficulty stopping the run without committing safeties/linebackers to it.
Offensively their quarterback is electric but their pass catchers after Terry McLaurin aren’t difficult to cover, especially not compared to what we survived last week.
The Commanders have a sub-optimal roster construction for playing from behind. They can’t stop the run without committing to it, and while they have an exciting quarterback, their WR2 and WR3 aren’t guys who can put the team on their shoulders.
If we win the coin toss, I would elect to receive. Get points on the board quickly.
Williams and the defense as a whole need to have a bounce back game.
