Just saw this piece of news and I really doubt this will work well for the Pelicans if their center is 6’7. Kessler has been on the trade block for a little now, what are the chances this is where he goes? I’d hate to see him leave so early, but what would we accept in a trade for him?

  1. What if instead of shipping off Kessler for more picks we send him and a first/couple seconds for Trey Murphy?

Or we just let the Pels cook and watch Herb play center

  2. I bet they do better than you’d think with herb at center. There are more centers than you’d think that are under 6’10, and herb is a legit insanely good defender. He’ll sort it out reasonably well if they have a backup option that can spell him for 20 mpg ish

  3. I think Collins or Kessler is gone when we get to All-Star trade time. My guess is Collins just because of his paycheck. Kessler even on his 3rd year is cheap and no player should be stamped this is what he will be rest of his career in NBA. Shot blockers like Kessler are pretty rare in NBA.

  4. I’ve been beating the drum for a Walker Kessler and salary trade for Brandon Ingram. This team is in desperate need of a playmaker and Ingram has become a good passer.
