You go into any game plan, certain players, how you try to package things, you try to maximize snaps…certainly we’ve done it with other premium players. Done it with Derrick Henry…did it with A.J. Brown early, certain things, tried to mix or match and maximize things or set things up. I get it. You lose a game and somebody may look off or whatever, but it’s not. And we communicate to any player. Whether it’s Scotty Miller, or Van Jefferson, or Connor Heyward…Those are week-to-week things. That’s the best way I can answer it.

  2. I like GP but don’t like the brat attitude. That said , smith needs to open up this offense and take 1st and 2nd down shots down the field with GP! Make the defense respect the pass instead of knowing the Steelers are run 1st! Too freaking predictable.

  5. Get rid of Pickens while he still has value. He doesn't run his routes and that takes away a HUGE piece of the Arthur Smith "Sail" portion of his offense. He's not AB…..AB was worth the headache. He's the pain without the gain, the headache without the sex, the labor without the baby. Enough; unload that albatross before his contract comes due and he is still highly regarded in the league.

  30. #Steelers conspiracy theory – Steelers are planning on fielding 2 completely separate offenses. 1 with fields, harris, Pickens and Muth – 1 with Wilson, Wilson, Warren, and Washington.
    -Pickens injury, "in the game plan"
    -Wilson 8 week calf
    -R Wilson not playing for some reason

As far as Smith goes take a look at the film breakdowns much as I think JF has kept Steelers in games he has missed many plays that were open and designed to go ther but he is not pulling the trigger! Smith is a much better coordinator than we have had in the past…the o-line needs to gell and.mature as well as qb who makes better and quicker decisions

  43. I don't give a crap about George Pickens..seems like he's doing this ever year..I'm sick of it..I would trade him don't care how great he is..he's a me guy anyway.. dump him!
