Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers Beat Seattle Seahawks on TNF: “They OWN These Guys” | 3 & Out

John Middlekauff taps in after another exciting Thursday Night Football matchup, between Brock Purdy, Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers taking down the Seattle Seahawks, 36-24. John salutes the Niners as they bounce back with a hard-fought win after two rough divisional outings to improve to 3-3 on the season despite a shaky start. Then, John goes off on the Brock Purdy haters and explain why the 49ers’ struggles can’t entirely be pinned on QB1, but rather Head Coach Kyle Shanahan. Next, John goes off on NFL officiating, exclaiming that there’s absolutely no reason for the officiating crew to not have access to broadcast footage, in hopes they can make the right calls. After, Middlekauff goes in on the Seattle Seahawks quarterback situation, with Geno Smith at the helm, and explains why the NFC West hopefuls need to make a move to move in order to return to the Russell Wilson & Pete Carroll glory days. Finally, another edition of Fugazi Friday tracking the Tony Soprano-esque Aaron Rodgers saga, where the Jets QB takes a page out of LeBron James’ book.

  1. The 9ers are fine Purdy has really looked good without having literally half the all pro team like usual 😂they only lost to the Cardinals bc they didn’t have a kicker and as long as there healthy come playoff time im easily taking them over anyone in the nfc the Vikings have had there number and if Loves on Heater the Packers are interesting but like realistically the 9ers are the better team and like the lions there defense is very suspect plus all the teams I’ve named happened to be in the same division as each other 🤷‍♂️

  2. I laughed at the media when they were saying Seattle had to pay and keep him yrs ago. He’s Andy dalton. Ryan tannehill. Kirk cousins. Dak Prescott. These dudes ain’t winning the bowl, just some regular season games. Funny, how 1 dude on a network will say something then everyone on every network repeats it lol almost like they are just talking heads that read teleprompters

  3. Look no way smith can win against 9ers because he is pocket passer and 9ers love that. Smith don't like to use his legs so that is why pass rush 9ers look good and the secondary looks good too

  4. John talking about 12-5 like it's a given. I think the 1 seed is off the table based on schedule alone. Next six games for SF: chiefs, cowboys, bucs, seahawks, packers, bills.
Could very well be .500 entering their final 5 weeks. Hope I'm wrong though, go niners!

  5. Metcalf running the wrong route, half-assed, sprinting harder than he has all night to blow up a linebacker 10 yards behind the guy who picked it off is the most DK Metcalf shit I've ever seen. Been saying how terrible of a leader he is for years. Sick of his fake tough guy shtick.

  6. Purdy is the real deal. Genuinely changed my opinion of him bc of this season. Playing smart football with so many players out, doesn’t take hardly any sacks, doesn’t only NOT lose them games but leads the team to win even when they fall short.

  7. Agree boy genius.? Special teams , tackling, obvious end routes with Deebo. Lot of chess pieces but Shanahan.Pawns matter. 53 more than important U. Dig the content.

  8. Love how John takes subtle shots at crazy head Cowherd… Yesterday's take on Purdy was so ridiculous comparing him to Will Levis… He's just desperate for clicks

  9. Gotta build off your take in defense of Gino….I have to believe in an ideal world…. Gino was, and Seattle mgt would agree, never suppose to be the guy to drop back and sling it 52 times a game. They are dealing with injuries and playing from behind…and credit to Smith….he will let it rip. He’s fearless to a fault. Give me that dude, over the guy that takes the sack, to protect his completion percentage. If you’re gonna go down, go down swinging baby!

  10. I always took from the talk on Purdy (and I'm a Jets head so no need to defend SF or him) an easy hot take.
"OH final pick of the draft he's only good cus…"
Yeah but more than likely if (obv won't happen but) if tomorrow the Niners called teams offering him in a trade your team would take him (obv certain teams got their QB so let's relax in the "im a chiefs/bills/jets/chargers/commanders/ravens/bengals/etc fan sense). But the resume is the resume.
Stop amping up games he's not great in as it's because his draft pick position.
Bruh has got to championship games and a Superbowl, have you?
Forget a fandom sense, he's still a good QB, he may not be Mahomes/Allen/Jackson but hes got where 2 of those haven't. If anything it's just proof "Get a good offensive HC/one good with QBs and let them live"
    Wish my team appreciated that.

  11. Eagles fan, but been following Niners since Purdy proved that sitting for acouple of years is probably good for most young QBs. End of last year and all of this year Purdy has made Shanahan look better than he has been. Some of KS playcalling has been dubous to say the least, thank goodness for the young players who have stepped up when called, saving Kyle!

  12. Agree heavily with the takes on Kyle vs Purdy regarding the redzone. CMC would help drastically but there are still plenty of weapons for Kyle to scheme with. Jennings, Kittle, Aiyuk, Deebo, The Juice etc – many teams would love to have just half of those guys.

  13. This is why I trust John’s analysis over Colin or any other media talking head. John just sees things clearly and knows how to get a good pulse on things. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for Colin to see things clearly. I feel like it’s his own bias.

  14. Someone finally holding Kyle accountable for what 49ers fans have known about the whole time. I like Kyle, but his in game decision making has cost this team two Super Bowls. They won this game because Kyle actually ran the ball when we had a lead. Something he refused to do in two Super Bowls. Brock is running around more because our line is ass and our receivers are struggling to get open.
