Subway Series are awful – the stadium is split into two with opposing fans drowning each other out. Last time, although we won, it was disappointing being at the stadium because it was not loud and intimidating.

I’ll sign up for a Mets vs Yankees WS on one condition:
Ohtani, Betts, Yamamoto, etc are beaten in the NLCS by the Mets. LOLDodgers
Plus, my interpreter has $3.2M riding on that outcome.
I’d rather not see the Mets. Yankees losing to them would mean the Mets fans never, ever, ever shutting up.

I’ll be honest I don’t want the stress that would come with it. I don’t want a Subway Series. Losing to the Mets is not something I ever want to experience.
However, that would be the sweetest victory of any NL team.
So if the Yankees win that I’ll be bragging about how l wanted a Subway Series from day one and I had no doubt the Mets would go down again just like 2000 and you can take your little 4-0 regular season fun

There’s nothing in it for us if we play the Mets. If we win, they’ll say we were supposed to win. If we lose, we’ll never hear the end of it. It’s a lose/lose situation.

The Mets have had the Yankees number this season and they’re the only team I’m worried about the Yankees playing if they make it to the WS.
Maybe it’s just me but I wanna see a Yankees Padres WS. I wanna see King, Higgy, and Wandy faceoff against their old team. Same for Soto and Grisham.
Plus, random googling on my end, Soto’s birthday is on 10/25. That’s the same day as game 1 of the WS. And, he was born in 1998, aka the year the Yanks swept the Padres in the WS. There’d be no better way to convince him it was destiny for him to re-sign than to repeat 1998, starting on his birthday.

Oh man this would be a heart attack. I have the dynasty dvds and always remember the guy yelling to Jeter to throw the other 3 rings away if you lose to the mets. 😂

Thanks to the pharmaceutical reps my dad took me to all five games in 2000. It’s still burned into my brain as one of the greatest experiences of my childhood with my father.
My son will be born in November and I’m looking forward to a chance to do the same with him.
Big hope for a subway series this year! NYC needs it.
We’re a Mets/Yankees household and my husband has wanted a Subway Series from the beginning, which I was kinda surprised by! We also just got married a little over a month ago so it’s now too expensive to break up if things go wrong.
Would be most fun, but I think we match up best against padres.

2) It would be good for NYC
3) It would deprive the Dodgers of yet another WS
