Actually I think Jonathan huberdeau is the worst 100 point player
I can't believe people can speak such nonsense after 1 game. Let's be honest the first period was great, but the canucks as a team didn't play the full 60 minutes. They stopped playing with the aggressive edge from the beginning, it's like they felt the game was won, and the canucks didn't need to play the last 2 periods.
Canucks fans are insane. 1 game into the season and the sky is already falling.
The highlight for the Canucks from that game was Hughes making the kick save on the 2 on 1 empty net, and then the quick pass up to Miller who spanked it in from just across the blue line.
That one play made the whole major choke almost palatable.

I'm getting tired of all the Petey blame becasue he's not as flashy as he was when he first started in the NHL. People seem to forget that teams know how to defend him now and the systems are different. All this takes time to adjust to. And homestly, he is his own worst enemy, so all the online fan negativity will not help him. Is he a pro athlete who is paid well? Yes. But he's also a person. Maybe try supporting your teams players instead of tearing them doown after 1 freakin game

If you watch his defensive work, he's quite good. He made mistakes in G1 of the year yes. But also his stick work breaks the flow of the other team, keeps pucks in the zone, crisp passing. Like he's not scoring every game, but Tochett had him in for 23 minutes because he wasn't playing badly just not elite. The fans seem to think he's gotta put up 4 points each night to justify things. You see Draist or McDavid do anything in their G1.
