This is absolutely brutal news

After a great game between the Sens and Panthers disaster struck in the final minute as Panthers captain Barkov went crashing into the boards and left with a possible knee injury. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. Hope he’s ok. Thank god we won the cup because between barkov getting hurt, Tua knocking himself out, the marlins being a dumpster fire, and fsu being the laughingstock of college football it has not been fun watching sports lately

  2. I like to see the effort from Barkov and I hope he recovers quickly, but he can’t be taking people into the boards like that. What if Stutzle got hurt too?

  3. Barkov went down on his own, intentionally brought that play to the table which put timmy at injury risk. Barkov is a clown and injured himself. I hope he's hurt bad, he's a goof for this dangerous play.

  4. Thanks for the video Eck. I got it recommended on my homepage. Barkov proving he's a champion by playing to the end and trying to prevent an empty net goal. Very unfortunate injury.
Good point on Ullmark. Goaltending does make a difference. We have Jarry and have missed the playoffs by 1 point and 3 points.

  5. sorry not sorry. usually not that guy but lost count of how many guys the Panther have put on LTIR. dirty team needs a reality check.

  6. I guess I'll be the one to say it: Idiotic play by Barkov. He tied himself into the Sens players legs at high speed, risking injury to both players, to prevent an empty net goal…. IN OCTOBER.

  7. Barkov is one of the few on that team that I feel bad for when this happens. I hope its not critical and he comes back before the all star break.

  8. I think it looked worse than it was. The way he was flexing his knee on the way off the ice tells me it was more of a stinger and they are just going to see if it swells up overnight.

As for the game after the 1st the panthers dominated so a bad start and blocked shots lead to the loss. Not worried.

  9. I hate to add insult to injury but that should have been a penalty on Barkov too.
I hate to see the injury but Barkov is the type of player who could never give up on a play and you have to respect that.

  10. I once saw Staphane Robidas slide into the boards like this in a 2013 game. His leg was broken, and he was out for four months. Granted Robidas needed a stretcher, Barkov didn’t. Either way, this looks bad, and I hope Barkov can recover.

  11. When i was a kid, I watched a hockey game my little brother played in, I think he was about ten at the time, and some kid went into the boards exactly like that and clean broke his femur. 6 months out. Those board crashes are no joke

  12. I grew up using a wood stick, as did all of my guys I played with and against, from Pee-Wee through H.S. And never saw sticks break so ubiquitously like they do now.
It is worth $250 bucks to have a star player go down for who knows how long, just to add few mph to your shot?

    Yeah, NO!

  13. Panthers are Barkov's team. This is, perhaps, the most liked player on our team. He is workmanlike, modest, a real leader, one of the top skilled players in the league. I hope it is not a season-ending injury.

  14. Barkov nearly injured Stutzzle by tripping him with his leg, causing the accident in the first place. Dumb play to try and save an empty netter…………….. meh…….
