What your favorite Marc Andre Fluery save? (Besides Lidstrom)

Mine is Game 7 glove save vs Ovie in 2009. We probably don't win that game if Ovies scores there.
Also love his save vs Jeff Carter in Game 2 of 2009.

  1. Game 7 against Ovie, but in 2017, I think. Right off the knob of his stick on a shot that goes in 99% of the time.

  2. That one, or game 7 cup final ’09, standing tall to take it on the crest and stop Lidstrom at the death

  3. Less impactful than these but I’m always partial to the acrobatics involved in his glove save vs karlsson and the shootout save vs alfredsson

  4. Overrated

Edit hey now why all the downvotes? I thought MAF was the most overrated goalie we ever had?

  5. The 09 save is THE Fleury save. I don’t even need to specify what game we all know what I’m talking about.

  6. This one… the gravity of this stop… whatever way the game may have gone… this changed it before it went that way. MAF set the tone that the Pens would not be beaten with that save

  7. I’ll always die on the hill of he was the most entertaining goalie to watch , maybe not the best in terms of skill or maybe not the most technical but the athleticism, dives , and flashy glove saves were just so fun to watch

  8. So many…

I really love the save against Dominic Moore when Fleury robbed him of the hat trick. The lights coming on is just icing on the cake.

The diving save in Vegas was also mint.

  9. All of his stops on shootouts in practice, when he was doing spins and acrobatics to distract the shooters 😂

  10. This save on Ovi sucked ALL the air out of that building. IMO, we lose the game and the series if Ovi scores there. That momentum shift was crazy.

  11. Since a lot of people are picking the Lidstrom one even though OP specifically said to exclude it, I’m also picking the Lidstrom one. I also loved anytime he poke checked on a breakaway or shootout.
