He was the last one out yesterday too, but there’s pics of all the team staying to watch after today.
I felt bad for Jax when I saw him getting frustrated in the dugout after the 7th or 8th inning. You can tell he was the only one on the team still with some heart and some passion and unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side. I would love to see him win a championship one day, even if its not with us.
The Kid had a magical year, and we all know he’s bound for more greatness. One day kid, one day. And you’ll point the way.
That kids our future
The kid is soaking it in. Take the hurt, disappointment, anger, and use it as fuel for next year.
Futures bright with Merrill hopefully he guides the upcoming prospects 🙏
I want this to be the start of his villain arc against the Dodgers
Remember what Palpatine said to Anakin? “I can feel your anger. It gives you focus… makes you stronger.” That’s this picture. So much.
He’s going to be so good next year. Scary good.
I. Can’t. WAIT!
Manny is El Capitan. Merrill is our heart and soul. And we will be back.
Bobby Witt did the same thing with the royals watching the Yankees
This photo reminds me of another photo of another very special Padre sitting alone in this same dugout just a few years back.

I love this kid…now a man. Our Padre.
I’d like him to get a bit faster for next season. I see no reason why he shouldn’t have 30+ SB.
i hope he has a HoF career, he deserves it
Who would have thought Preller would have 2 natural shortstops become elite outfielders.
Preller should be here for awhile.
probing for weaknesses when they least suspect it, what a goat. he’s about to become the next dodger killer.
I hope Merrill signs with the team that gives him the best chance at winning a ring. Wherever that might be. He deserves it.
