I’m on the west coast and I’m still up. I hope I can fall asleep and just wake up at 10 when the game starts, but my brain is dumb and it’ll probably wake me up early with anxiety about the game
I’ve been up since 3:30 and can’t fall back asleep out of anticipation for this game.
I watched “[The Dynasty That Almost Was](https://youtu.be/gZ12S14FC6s?si=2VL0Iim0vmr1OQ0o)” about the 90s team as a distraction. What a ride, highly recommended.
I like our chances today but whatever happens, thanks for the great season.

Gimmy bats 2nd, Fry bats 5th – the ole death lineup from the start of the season (Kwan, Gimmy, José, Naylor, Fry).
I’d rather have more speed in the next batter after Kwan gets on base since Skubal showed he could get a double play ball in literally every hot water situation he found himself in.

I miss John Adams’s drum. When I went to the ALDS against the Yankees a few years ago, some fans had managed to replicate it by hammering on the storage boxes. The atmosphere at game 1 was awesome, but you can tell it’s missing something

I woke up early today to finish some homework and get chores done early so I can fully lock in on this game.
Come on Guardians, you got the monkey off your back with elimination games now keep that from happening again. Facing the best pitcher in the league, and hopefully we’ve cracked the code to Skubal seeing as we’re facing him again so soon.

Man I would love nothing more than to get a couple against Skubal early to make Detroit start to have doubts. They’ve been able to relax these last couple days knowing that their savior can bail them out in game 5, so if he shows some cracks early that could mess with their confidence. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
My mom was born in 1948, the last time we won a World Series. She died two weeks ago. She was a huge Indians/Guards fan her whole life. Her celebration of life ceremony is today at 1 PM. We thought we would be able to watch the game afterwards, but since it got moved to 1 PM, now we are bringing a big TV and will have the game on at the celebration of life. Just like mom would have wanted it.
