The 49ers will be opening the practice window for 1st-round pick Ricky Pearsall, which means he can be activated and play in games any week now. Could be against Kansas City, against Dallas or beyond.

Exciting news for 49ers fans as the 1st round pick gets closer to making his debut

Can Pearsall help the 49ers? Can beat press and man, shifty, great foot work and route running. Can go up and get it. Willing blocker, tough, contested catches. Can he create separation? That will be the big question.

Most likely, I would think it’d be a longer ramp-up period,” Shanahan said Friday via conference call. “But health-wise and everything, he’s totally good to go, but I really can’t decide on that stuff until we start watching him in practice.

“We aren’t going to rush it. If he’s ready, he’s ready, and if not, then we got a few weeks.

As for Christian McCaffrey: He will NOT be returning against the Kansas City Chiefs in week 7. He is improving, but not enough for the Niners to open up his practice window.

Jordan Mason: Positive news on this front: AC joint sprain according to Adam Schefter. It is not believed to be serious but he will get further testing on that injury. Day-to-day

Mason:
NFL’s leading rusher
Was off to another great start vs. Seattle
Not only does Jordan Mason currently lead the NFL in rushing, he also leads the NFL in missed tackles forced.
Mason’s forced 29 missed tackles on the season, per PFF. That’s 9 more than any running back in the league.

Isaac Guerendo, Patrick Taylor, Deebo Samuel in his place

Kicker Matthew Wright: Separated his shoulder. Special teams needs to get it figured out! Should be able to kick against the Chiefs

49ers injury report:
S Malik Mustapha (ankle) day to day
K Matthew Wright (shoulder) waiting for MRI. He dislocated it but went back in.
RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) day to day
DE Jordan Elliott (knee) should be back in practice this week
CB Charvarius Ward (knee) day-to-day)

  1. Oh yeah, Chase Senior's insight and analysis is straight up outstanding . . . The Best! Just saying. Looking forward to Pearsall's contributing to this team when it happens and I am liking the contributions by the young players brought on Thursday night: Isaac Guerendo, Patrick Taylor, Malik Mustapha, Renardo Green and my hat is off to the new kicker Matthew Wright for his stop on the kick return!

  2. :::(((ATTENTION NINER NATION)))!!!November is our month… WE ALL SHOULD BE USED TO THIS… CMC RETURNS EARLY NOVEMBER… I THINK THEYVE BEEN SAVING HIM… BUT REMEMBER, WHATEVER THE CASE… WE FLIP THE SWITCH AFTER WEEK 8… STEAMROLLTHENFC!!!!

  3. I’m sorry, but at this point not a goddamn soul on this planet can criticize the 49ers drafting ability Brock Purdy seventh round Dominic Puni third round. I think third Warner third round three. Greenlaw was like seventh round right? Mustafa was a fifth round Jordan Mason undrafted the entire rest of their offensive line. I don’t think there’s one high draft pick thereAziz Ashshire fourth round. I mean their draft records insane.

  4. I actually prefer how Wright kicks during a kick off, he placed that ball on the 3-5 yard line twice. I’d rather see that then just boot it out the end zone and give the opposing team 20 yard starting position
