Bear down, Bears nation!

  1. In Wisconsin in enemy territory for the game tomorrow. Already confirmed what bar would be open and they agreed to put the bears on any tv I wantĀ

  2. Looking forward to a great offensive showing against this jag defense for sure. Hoping to see some flash from CW and Moore, Rome, and Kmet

  3. Being in Az I love when the first games start at ten but tomorrow itā€™s a fucking curse. 630 am kickoff? I donā€™t get up that early for work

  4. Real chance for Williams to get his 3rd 300 yard passing game here. Iā€™m expecting 2TDs and 250+passing yards from him.

  5. Improving to 4-2 before the bye will really help, team has a tough game coming up out of the bye with Washington

  6. I donā€™t feel too cozy about this, I think alot of back and forth, but we win 27-24.

  7. So I have a rule that says if a line doesn’t make sense to me, it’s probably the line that’s right and not me.

But the line has been bet down to -1, almost a toss-up, and that does not make sense to me.

Could the Bears lose? Absolutely. Anyone can beat anyone in the NFL, and we aren’t even sure that the Bears are a good team yet.

Should the Bears be favored pretty strongly? I sure think so. The Jags are 1-4 with the third-worst point differential in the NFL. I guess the bettors were *really* impressed with their win against a divisional rival last week, and placing a lot of faith in the London situation to even the odds.

The Jags have some good pieces of offense but they have only put it together once this season, which is last week. The Bears defense has slown down better offenses than this, and better QBs than Trevor Lawrence (who I do think is pretty good). Sure, we’re missing two DBs, but personally I think they are our two biggest liabilities in pass defense, so I’m not sure this actually opens all that much up in the passing game. Our defensive line is just straight up better than their offensive line and should be able to get some sacks to end some drives.

Defensively they’re an absolute mess. Last week, the injury-depleted Panthers sent out the worst defense I’ve seen in a long time in an NFL game, and the nicest thing I can say about the Jaguars defense is that it’s probably a little better than the Panthers. But not much.

Their defensive line won’t just lay down and give up the way Carolina did last week, but it’s nowhere near as good as Houston or Tennessee’s. It’s ok but not scary.

Their secondary is legit the worst in the NFL. They have gotten torched by every QB they’ve faced this season except for DeShaun Watson, The entire defense has not produced a single interception this season. There should be winning matchups all over the field for Williams to choose from.

The second-worst passing line a team has put up on this season, after Watson, is 266 yard and 4 TDs.

If we lose this game because we get some weird bounces, or we move the ball but don’t finish drives like against the Colts, or because the defense has some surprise breakdowns and Trevor Lawrence punishes them, then fine. That happens sometimes, we’ll be 3-3 and it’s a non-conference loss. The doomers will come out for a week and it’ll be obnoxious, but life will go on.

The only way I can be disappoitned by this game is if Williams has even a little trouble moving the football. He might make a rookie mistake or two (or he might not) but there’s zero reason for him not to put up some big passing yards and for the offense to create several touchdowns.

  8. I heard that supposedly Peterson took over play calling duties last week and the offense looked much better so the line is taking that heavily into account.

Not sure if that has been verified or if it is just a rumor.

  9. This will be the 3rd bears game I’ve been to, but the first where they’ll actually play in blue.Ā

I’m more happy about that than I probably should be but hey, I’m into that kind of thing.Ā

Barring anything happening in the next however many hours it’ll also be the first with a starting QB too. Shhhh.

  10. Stick it to that generational talent. We already played this week so I’m going to see if I can watch you guys tomorrow. Caleb growing every week. Maybe he and Brock can throw down in the playoffs and make me feel all kinds of ways.

  11. Judging by the streets of London this is a true home game Bears gonna like the river thames
