Why was the OG roof still there?

Simple question why was the roof never replaced after it was installed? Will that come into play of insurance? I know State Farm would drop me and not cover my roof if it was past due on replacement.

  1. Probably the same reason why we trade players after they’re not arbitration eligible anymore. Money.

  2. You’d think it’s the cheap owners responsible, but the truth is that the City of St. Petersburg owns Tropicana Field. It’s time to dig deeper. Surely there is a maintenance budget for the stadium. Who’s working the books?

  3. I don’t think that is true. I think I remember them getting a new roof about 10 years ago. Plus about 15 years ago I remember a storm blowing off portions of the roof.

  4. If it was still working at the time I can understand not replacing it until there were signs of it needing to be replaced. There’s no guarantee a brand new roof would have held up to the winds.

  5. I, with my full chest, said OUT LOUD, “well they still had one more year on its lifespan,” forgetting its 2024, not 2014 💀
