Q: Is it worth $350?
A: No. I don't think you can rationally justify spending $350 on a jersey.
Q: How would you describe the quality, overall?
A: Surprisingly good, and dare I say great. I was prepared to send it back because it's a Nike product sold by Fanatics. There is a lot of detail throughout the jersey – embroidery/stitching on all the panels, a very athletic feeling fabric, a very authentic looking collar. I also feel as if the fit is a bit more form fitting than a regular, boxy jersey. I do think the fit is still a bit boxy. But I ordered up a size to wear a sweatshirt under it. I would say that if you are a more athletic build, this is an ideal fit.
Q: What's the base material like?
A: The material is noticeably less "silky" than a regular jersey. It's more of an elastic, synthetic fabric. The material feels thick and of good quality.
Q: Are the numbers and name stitched?
A: Yes, and it appears to be good quality. See 3rd photo.
Q: Are the arms elastic?
A: Yes
Q: What size is this?
A: Men's 44. I am 5'10, 170 pounds. This fits perfectly over a medium weight hoodie, which is why I bought a 44. I personally would not wear this size without a base layer because it's a bit large by itself.
Q: Why did you spend $350 it if it's not rational?
A: It was an emotional purchase that I made after I attended the game from out of town – my first ever Broncos game at home. I grew up on the East coast – rabid Broncos fan that attended basically NFL draft from 2004 to 2010. My father was a huge Broncos fan and he passed away two years ago, so this was a bit of a "trip to the Mecca" for me. The game was special – seeing the ring of fame ceremony, getting a huge win against the Raiders.
This 1977 uniform is the pinnacle of beautiful sports uniforms, and I wanted a well made jersey that I can wear for decades that felt like a bit of an "heirloom" purchase, and a reminder of that amazing game and a beautiful reminder that I root for the best football team on the MF earth. Every time I look at it, I swell with pride and happiness. That to me, is why I'm not returning it.
