Gannon is a defensive guru btw
Holy shit that’s the most gutless loss since..since..two weeks ago!
Are we going to get an apology thread towards the Kyler skeptics for his 190 yard 1 TD performance before garbage time?
Call the defense bad after this game, call out the coaching staff, but this sub acting like Murray is not a part of the problem when he’s the highest paid person in the entire organization after six fucking years of mediocrity in a game in which he couldn’t get shit going on offense until there were 2 minutes left in the 1st half is unreal.
Kyler and McBride played good to great. Some players on the offensive line were good too. However the rest of the team sucked so much with miscues and penalties. There was no chance at all.
The defense pass rush is personnel issue. Hopefully Drob gives a boost.
Well we really FUMBLED that one away…
Can you build a franchise around a tight end? Asking for a friend
3 generations of Bidwills have ran this franchise into the fucking ground. Reminder that the Cardinals had a 50 YEAR playoff win drought.
This is the worst American sports franchise bar none and will remain so as long as the Bidwills are in charge.
Before all the Kyler talk starts, can we agree that the offense is dysfunctional right now on ALL levels? there’s not one single factor we can blame, Kyler, injuries, Petzing, discipline, all the above.
Coaching staff and players should be embarrassed
How much do they pay Murray? He fucking sucks. I wouldn’t blame Marv if he’s faking an injury. Get a qb that’s over 5’7″ for fucks sake.
Well at least we aren’t the Jags.
I’m sure the Jags will get their shit together way before we do.
But for today for right now at least we aren’t them.
They shouldn’t wear white if they’re going to shit their pants.
Apparently we really don’t prepare for rain at all like all Phoenicians
Close game, we’ll get them next time!
They were obviously running off the high from last week. What a shitshow.
Ossenfort has to answer for this disaster of a roster.
I get that what he was left with after Keim was god awful. But he’s brought it zero game changers whether thru free agency or the draft.
Tbh, hard to be mad given all those injuries.
I’m glad the boys let me know early today I don’t need to pay attention lol
Rough game.
First Half: Cards played like shit in rough weather to start it off, almost started finding their groove, then refball took over. Screwed out of a potentially game-changing/impactful turnover, and then from there onwards, a bunch of ticky tack penalties (some justified, some brain dead). In spite of this, they clawed their way back to a 2 score game at the half.
Second Half: Cards tried hard initially, but you can only sustain so many refball penalties while also going against the Packers, and also shooting yourselves in the feet (repeatedly), all while playing from behind. By Q4 this team looked like it had half given up.
At the end of the day, when your team has to play against an opponent, the refs, AND themselves, it’s a lost game. Murray is not solely to blame here, and anyone who puts this squarely on him clearly has no concept of how a TEAM SPORT works. That being said, it would have been nice to see more out of Murray, but when injuries have consumed a decent chunk of his offensive weapons, and the others keep dropping or flat out not catching anything, then how the hell can you put all the blame on Murray? Maybe if the O-line gave him more than half a second, then I could see throwing more blame his way. Fact is, this team is swiss cheese with how many holes it has on the roster, both defensively and offensively. Everyone shares blame.
All in all, this game was not good at all.
The NFC west is bad.
This team is embarrassing. Monti and Gannon need to figure it out or they can fuck off
What a shitty way to follow the comeback last week.
Had a chance to build hope, but no. Defense is ass. Petzing is a shittier version of Greg Roman. MHJ has a concussion.
Still feels so weird to me, having Kyler and Harrison, guys who you want to be aggressive and spread the field with. And we have an OC with the mentality of wanting to have Kyler hand it off 35 times a game instead.
We got sports cars, and we are just using them to go pick up groceries down the street.
At least we won’t lose next Sunday!
I’m tired of seeing only a handful of players actually giving a shit
Murphy-Bunting is here for another 2 years after this that’s ridiculous
When it rained it fucking poured!!
Ngl this one hurt.
Such a frustrating game and performance, made even more by the fact the Cards seemed to get going a bit in the 2nd half and had a legit window to make the game competitive but fucked it up with Conner’s and Dortch’s fumbles (which likely took 3 points or 7 points away from the scoreboard) and then SMB – on his own – ruining what was a good drive by the Cardinals defense with two penalties away from the play and then his “coverage” leading to a Packers TD.
Game could have easily been 24-20 or 24-16 heading into the 4th, but after Dortch’s fumble it was all over.
Kyler actually played decently well IMO. He had one bad miss to the rookie WR, but besides that I think he was pretty good. He and McBride had good connection, McBride’s probably our most reliable target right now.
Defense looked alright in the second half TBH, but that first half was rough. Still, it was another game that the defense adjusted well after half-time, becoming a bit of a trend so far this season (only time it hasn’t happened was v the Rams when it was a blow out for us anyway and the Commanders game).
Team looks concerning though. Cards needed to get to 5-5 from this game to the Jets game Week 10, since the schedule does – on paper – look more friendly after. I had this game mentally set as a L, but the way they did does concern me on whether or not they can beat the Chargers at home, Dolphins on the road, Bears and Jets at home…
Also, I know we have a lot of cap space rolled over for next season, but I also am very concerned that this team has very little in terms of foundation pieces found on the team right now to be relied on. And two of those you wish would be – Conner and Budda – are FA’s. It’s hard to expect this team to be built into a contender quickly and soon with how little talent there is on the team.
Concerning for sure.
Leave Petzing in Green Bay
The flags, the errors, the mistakes
Starting to not think Gannon has what it takes. He’s decent at getting guys bought in but we are just so sloppy. Turnovers and penalties are the sign of a poorly coached team.
Sucks watching the opposing qb stand back there and just have all day to pass.
Damn same exact completion percentage, and our WRs missed some passes (rain). And we got penalized like crazy. And we had a bullshit horse collar preventing a turnover. But only if we had a better quarterback…
Fire everyone on the Coaching staff that was dog shit
I don’t know where the blame belongs in this shit show.
GM couldn’t be bothered to spend money on talent.
OC more garbage play calling.
QB can’t get on the same page as the “can’t miss” first round WR. Top tier runner that doesn’t want to run.
DC undisciplined defensive personalities, expected from the practice squad scrubs he has to play because of GM and what seems to be the worst strength and conditioning coaching in the league.
HC, defensive background that couldn’t bring in talent.
Ownership 🤡.
Kyler wasn’t great today, but he definitely wasn’t the problem. Too many mistakes with penalties and fumbles. The run game couldn’t get anything going and the defense was either getting cooked, jumping offsides, or holding. Just an embarrassing loss
13 points
Utah Football Club next. we deserve better.
Was on delay, just finished.
What a painful game to watch, it all started from the first 3 and out and then we couldn’t keep the punt from a touch back. And then all those penalties on every damn drive, and three fumbles with two in scoring positions. Awful game, only McBride and Melton should be feeling good after that game.
When I saw that Murphy Bunting had a neck injury I just assumed that Gannon had rung his neck.
Defence got cooked
hey at least we got ASU football yall!
Main two issues to solve for the Cardinals:
1/ Regular Production from MHJ, Wilson and the rest of the WRs.
2/ D Line pressure in both run and passing game
Nothing major….
How did Marvin Harrison Sr not teach his son not to be a body catcher shoulda
