  1. Senga in this rotation is a classic time old front office Mets money mistake. The NLCS is not the time for starts coming off of rehab. This was a blunder. Front office money decision, not a baseball decision.

I get it, you don't want to see the money spent on him wasted, but don't risk the ever so seldom opportunity to make it to the World Series on speculative performance.

  2. It's either the Dodgers will prove to be superior to the Mets, or it's just game 1 and in a 7 game series it doesn't mean much and the Mets will bounce back.

  3. Considering its a 7 game series the Mets cant be blamed much for having a look at Senga. But I dont think they should gamble again with him. Hes a great pitcher, but just coming off rehab and against an amazing lineup.

  4. Why would Mendoza ( who should be NL manager of the year) waste a roster spot on Singa? To get 3 innings out of him? He couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat. Wasted roster spot. He was so bad, he threw atleast 4 pitches that hit the ground about 2 feet from home plate. This is not the time to stretch out a pitcher who has basically been out for the season. Momentum is very important in baseball, and to basically give the Dodgers a 3 run advantage, without them earning it, is like throwing the game away….and how Singa was even allowed to pitch in the second inning is beyond comprehension 😊 Merry Christmas, Dodgers!!! 😊

  5. This may be a blessing is disguise. The Mets offense looked so bad today that any of their starters would have lost. Now, they have Manaea for game two and he pitches well and the offense wakes up, they might steal tomorrow's game and be in great position moving forward.

  6. Senga is not the reason the Mets lost today, he certainly is partially responsible but in the end he gave up 3ER. It was the offense that literally gave nothing. When you score 2 runs, yes you're bound to lose.

  7. The mets World Series was beating the Phillies. They might as well take their flight to Cancun from La and save
Themselves the inevitable sweep in queens

  8. The Mets were completely flat & maybe hungover from the celebration, flight & Senga was not effective. We were sloppy in the field & looked lethargic at bat.Usually a good pitcher can help overcome that but Senga just didn’t have it.Glad it’s only one game.

  9. forget about today b/c the future looks bright for the metros. lefty ace s.manaea will shut down the tired dodger lineup on monday while mets hitting feast on l.a.'s bullpen. series even. then mets take 2-1 lead after the dodgers are forced to trot out failed re-habber w.buehler at citifield who has but 1 win all season

  10. Seven game series. Let''s take care of their bullpen and Buehler in the next two games. Get back on track. Trust Mendoza and the boys to make this a series.

  11. Senga was not ready and he had no control what he threw.
This is a devastating game that will affect the whole series.
He was not ready to throw in the postseason game 1 at NLCS.
