IIRC, he was supposed to leave last year and join the Angels coaching staff, but Espada convinced him to stay.

Should have fired Cintron, Pettis was a good 3B coach.
I’m not shocked, he was gonna go to the angels last year but Joe asked him to stay one more year for his contract and he agreed
This feels like the first of several impactful moves we’re going to see this offseason, both the coaching staff and players.
