  1. I believe the Braves are in a solid position with Arcia at shortstop, and personally, I don’t see a need for them to make a move. He’s performed well, and his contract is a modest $2 million a value that can’t be overlooked. While there is some desire on you guys to upgrade the position, acquiring a shortstop of notable quality would likely require a significant financial commitment, and diverting attention from the one area I believe is critical: the rotation and bullpen.

To bolster the pitching staff, the Braves could benefit from adding a veteran presence, someone like Nathan Eovaldi, who could offer stability and experience and be able to keep Minter. Now, as for trading for a shortstop, it’s important to recognize that most teams aren’t likely to part with their top players unless it involves unloading a substantial portion of a farm system.

Not that I want him but if the Red Sox are willing to eat a big part of Trevor Story contract, that could provide a feasible opportunity to "upgrade" the offense if he can play 120-130 games.
Landing a player like Adames or another top-tier shortstop would require either a massive financial outlay or a complete dismantling of the farm system both of which carry significant risks. Therefore, in my opinion, the Braves’ current strategy should focus on strengthening their rotation and bullpen without compromising the team’s overall depth.

I don't see Nico Hoerner as a much better option at SS than Grissom was , the Cubs moved on from him playing SS for a reason so why should the Braves give him the position? It makes little sense to me.

  2. Arcia provides good defense for what he gets paid. We have 8 other guys who should be crushing the ball, people need to stop scapegoating the guy who was never brought in for his bat in the first place.

  3. If AA says the annual limit is $22 million for a player then he is ignoring the rate of inflation in this country. We would all like to pay the same price for milk, eggs, gas, etc that we paid last year but those prices have increased and will continue to do so. He has to be realistic and hopefully the players already signed to long term deals realize this also. By the way, I recently read a SI article of how Dansby’s contact could become a nightmare for Cubs and he already hasn’t performed all that well in the first two years of contract.

  4. FO just believes the injured players coming back + new hitting coach will be enough, keep Arcia at the bottom of the order and just hope the defense doesn’t get worse. We are stuck with him as the starter guys

  5. Amed Rosario will be a great bench piece. I don't see anything out there. I would sign Teoscar Hernández for 3 year deal left field. Get a big bat for the line up and sign two major league pitchers.

  6. D isn’t enough. Stop making excuses. Braves bounced Inciarte for the same reason they should bounce Arcia… this is the Pros. Play both sides better or go to the bench or AAA… he should not be starting. He’s a glorified defensive replacement for late in games or when real starters need a day off.

  7. Why you need to pay for Adames?Because this core has done nothing the last 3 years in October. As far as I’m concerned,2025 is the last bite of the apple for this bunch, and they need help.If they flameout again AA needs to bust them up or GTFO of Dodge. That goes for all 9 of them, including and especially 13 and Ozzie. Two soft players that can’t stay on the field. The Prosecution Rests! Now bring on the Hate.
