  1. I was so surprised earlier this season when we called up this prospect I’d been reading about named Pages, and instead of some Vanderbilt looking white motherfucker he was a Cuban guy named Paw-hez.

  2. You can take the boxer out of the boxing movie…but you can’t take boxer out of boxing.

  3. Mets made a mistake starting a guy recently off the IL and making game 1 of a series where they’re on a few days more of rest a bullpen game. And then the dodgers the next day purposely do a bullpen game.

  4. Might end up being the biggest pitch of the game. Pages getting on and turning it over to Ohtani could have been pretty nuts

  5. The big important thing about Pages being put out is that it means Ohtani won’t have a runner in scoring position next inning, which depletes his power.

  6. Haha anyone else think that Nike commercial was about not creasing their shoes and not the marathon?

  7. How am I supposed to know when Ohtani is coming up if they won’t put anything on the screen to remind me?

  8. We have two starters and a bullpen that makes a third starter.

What the fuck are we going to do in a Bo7?? Roberts has his work cut out.

  9. If the Mets don’t put up any more runs in this inning or the next one after, I’ll just go back to learning code.

  10. Wanted to grab some tickets to Citi for this series and it’s like 400 bucks for standing room 🙁

  11. I just love how everyone on r/baseball can unite in their hatred of the Dodgers. Warms my heart

  12. Gonsolin would have been better imo. Even if he could only go 3-4 innings, his base talent level is so much higher than Knack.

  13. I wonder what MLB will think if they get a Mets/Guardians WS instead of Dodgers/Yankees

  14. Barely catching the plate outside edge and then barely kissing the top of the zone. Both reasonable enough but always sucks as a hitter when it feels like two tight ones in a row go against ya

  15. League championship series games at 2 pm local time on a Monday is surely the sign of a healthy and popular league

  16. Pete has smacked a dong in every stadium the Mets have played in this postseason. You’re next doyers.

  17. Kind of offended they didn’t include a Pirates logo next to Ralph Kiner in the graphic for fastest players to 200 HR in their career. I get HOF is important to acknowledge, but we don’t have much, just give us that!
