The grade is an A.
If RATTLER does well and SAINTS win next 3 out of 4 and last 4 out of 6 the DENNIS ALLEN keeps his job
We just need to get healthy.. Rattler with a full offense would look real nice
Rattler isn't the answer
If rattler is doing this with no O line no receivers no run game .. then imagine if he had those
considering the situation he was put in, i think he showed plenty enough to be excited to see him play more… def potential if he progresses at least a little the next couple games.
I blame you
Rattler the answer
It feels like me and the wife have talked about Rattler for 10 years and been on the fence with him from the start. I would go ahead and hand him the keys the rest of the year. Move on however Kubiak seems best for offense and team. He seems to have the best overall football knowledge. Didnt he play college? Id be cool with him assistant gm to help loomis through this since we are stuck with him.
Andy Dalton beating us is gonna hurt worse than Sean. Put jameis in whereever hes at now
I see Rattler ultimately being a mix between ELI Manning and Kenny Stabler.. He will have pretty good ( not great) QB numbers, but will be CLUTCH! I can see the Saints winning a couple of conference championship games with him!💯
First career start against a SB defensive HC, no olave, no run game and the interior of that O-line was Swiss cheese while the defense almost gave up 600 yards of offense. Considering all that I’m VERY OPTIMISTIC about Spencer’s future. Remember Ian book was in the same situation with a better HC in Sean Payton and he looked horrible
Rasheed probably will also be out. It will basically be a preseason team on Thursday
Carr probably would've looked worse than Rattler on Sunday
I agree I was fine with his game yes i do agree he made those rookie mistakes and im ok with it I'm starting to really like our draft class our top 2 picks show they can start and hang with starters in the NFL and the other 2 shows alot of promise
F+
I think you guys are being way too hard on him. He looked awesome in the first half with no offensive line and run game or a receiver worth a damn. Second half our line got torched and Kubiak basically didn't adjust. I'm not saying he was perfect but the kid showed he had skills and I don't think he looked bad at all for the situation.
Peyton Manning was 3-13 his first season
Saying you aren't winning anything of significance with Carr is the most casual fan take there is. Any QB can win things of significance with a good team around them. It's happened many times. Carr was the #1 graded QB in the NFL from week 12 of last season through week 2 of this season, playing better then any QB in the NFL. If that isn't good enough to win things of significance, nothing is.
The one and only reason Carr stopped playing at an elite level was bc the OL was suddenly the worst in the NFL at pass blocking. That's not an exaggeration either.
Give Carr a mediocre OL (like from week 12 on last season) and he will play at an elite level. The tape proves it. It's a fact. It's not his fault the saints had no OL depth and he is now forced to throw in under 2 seconds, usually with a defender in his face. NO QB IS PLAYING AT A HIGH LEVEL IN THAT SITUATION. None. Want proof? Look at KC when their OL was decimated by injuries. Scored all of 3 points in a game despite having Mahomes, who had the worst game of his career. Now, imagine that happened early in the season instead of at the end of it. How well would Mahomes have played that season? It's not rocket science. He would have had the worst season of his career. KC likely misses the playoffs. That's why good teams don't build a makeshift OL that would crumble with an injury or 2…..bc every OL has injuries every season.
Once again, Carr is taking the blame over a team making poor personnel decisions. It sucks, bc those who have followed Carr since college know exactly how well he can play if given what every franchise QB has. Unfortunately both teams he's been on have set him up for failure, and that's not something you can predict.
Once they picked up the pressure he looked like a rookie so I would say if they can figure out blocking schemes (same thing we’ve been saying all year) then maybe he could have led better drives
I agree with most of what's being said about Spencer Rattlers debut as a starter. My question and concern is, what is going on with all of these injuries on this team? This has to be the most injury-prone New Orleans Saints team that I have seen since I've been a Saints fans as a little kid.
I think Rattler did well for a rookie QB that was thrown into a dumpster fire 🔥
