  1. Hopefully ownership will take note of a Dodgers Yankees World Series and model the cubs after one of those teams and less like the diamond backs. I won’t hold my breath though

  2. The rotation was good, not great, but they still need a true ace. Getting a SP from the 2nd tier IS NOT good enough, but that's probably what their cheap asses will do.

  3. Also remember when all the preseason predictions put Cubs at 83-87 wins, they all assumed Imanaga is a best case #3 SP, which around 10-12 wins. And same analogy people think Gomes and Cody would be close to their 2023, which I also doubted. And if you look at the Cubs this season, that’s the difference in offense. Forget all the other people’s up and down. It came down to Cody regressing a little and Gomes totally bad. Remember last season Gomes hit so many key hits for Cubs and Cody hit so many clutch hits. That’s the difference and I don’t think people’s expectation had that counted in. Plus the bullpen injury, that was devastating. So please give Jed some break and respect for making most decisions right.
