  1. I cried the day it happened and again today. Huge hockey fan from OK. I loved watching Johnny play. US born hockey players as talented as Johnny are few and far between. He also appears to have been a standup guy with a very loving family. RIP

  2. Seeing Johnny's family, friends, and teammates as they watch Johnny's jersey number climb up the rafters just hurts dude. R.I.P Johnny Hockey, you absolute LEGEND! ♥️🕊️

  3. maybe the driving community can learn to share the road moving forward. As a cyclist I'm tried of loosing young men in my community. Stay off your phones and keep your eyes on the road please…

  4. Such a tough watch, especially seeing his family in pain. May he rest in peace and i hope his family stays strong through this very tough time

  5. What a tragedy! Being an avid cyclist myself you really have to be aware of everything going on around you when you're on a bike. I had a friend just last week get hit on his bike by a truck. Sad to say that he didn't make it.

  6. Leafs fan here. My first Leafs game was to see Johnny. Glad it was. This was sad to watch. The parents crying really broke my heart. RIP Johnny and Matthew

  7. Holy hell man…. The look on Papa Gaudreau’s face, the tears in all the eyes, not least Mama Gaudreaus, the stiff upper lip of Mrs Gaudreau, and the roar of appreciation and gratitude….

    Tough stuff, but incredibly humbling.

Well done Columbus, well done indeed.

  8. It's bittersweet how Calgary & Columbus (as well as Boston & Philly) will forever be intertwined by this tragedy. I don't know about Columbus but I feel like most Calgarians, including myself, are rooting for Columbus this year, and I think it goes without saying that the hockey world is rooting for Monahan in particular, too.

  9. I'm a 35 year old, 32 year vet to the sport of hockey, perpetually an undersized player. I almost gave up once I started playing in checking leagues, until I saw a few guys succeed under 6 foot. Johnny Gaudreau was a shining light that made me regret giving up on a pro career too soon, and inspired me to continue to love the sport.

  10. Cole Caufield of the Habs changed his number for Johnny Gaudreau and dedicate each of his goals this season to him. You can see him make a small gesture to the sky everytime. ALL of Hockey is behind the Gaudreau family.

  11. The pain the familys enduring looks just as fresh as day one. Couldnt imagine going through this and every new detail you learned made it that much more depressing.
