3. I’d probably keep the bottom pair intact and move Jensen up with Sandy. Chabot and JBD played a decent amount together last season, let’s see if they still work well together.

5. These were all good takes boys. Pillzy made some really good comments here about being less confident in this team after 3 games – that’s my exact feeling. There have been moments where they look exactly the same as the fragile team of last year so that makes me really concerned. We do need a veteran backup goalie I think – I don’t see how we get through the season without one.

6. I have concerns with Ullmark being injured again so soon. Defence needs to be upgraded too.

8. Ottawa could very easily be 0-3, and probably should be. Are these players uncoachable? Great show, and analysis, by the way. Sens are extremely lucky to be 2-1. The group doesn't seem angry about it, either, which is disappointing. Looks like same old same old, to me. Are they missing the defensive lobe of the brain?

10. I think Zub is out long term based on his concussion history. Suddenly our defense doesn't look so good on the right side. I love Forsy but its time to look at another option in backup from outside of the organization.

11. All 82 games are not going to be clear cut dominant performances. Making the playoffs is also about grinding out the W in tough games like they did against LA. We certainly need someone new for the backup goaltending role though.

12. I don't think Norris' shooting skill was ever in question. It was mostly his health, and his defensive side of center (incl. faceoffs)

14. My take on the first game is we hung around with the big boy. On the second game, very disorganized, and not much to feel good about. In the third game, they never quit.

15. I wish Giroux did the same summer workout intensity that Hamonic appears to have done.

I get that this early in the season but the 2-1 argument is a bit annoying… We've all watched the first 3 games (I could also add preseason games where full on NHL forward lines and d pairing were getting stuck in the d zone for minutes at a time), we all know the tendencies of this team, we've all seen this team give up on nights within the first period… The same stuff was happening during all three games… If Ullmark isn't there to win the game 1 on his own and if Kuemper isn't there to shit the bed in game 3… We are 0-3… Sure Ullmark probably will win a couple more on his own but we need good goaltending and d positioning if we want even a little chance at playoffs.

22. The Florida game was the best defensive game I’ve seen this team play in a long while. Hope we get more performances like that one, but I’m not holding my breath

24. I've never been a fan of MacEwen but if he keeps scoring two goals every game I will warm up to him!

27. Am I the only one not sold on Sogaard? The common theme every time he plays awful is “let him develop” and “build his confidence”. This guy has been in the system for 6 years already! At a certain point we need to say he’s just not an nhl caliber goalie and figure out another option.

28. I think is Ullmark and Zub are out for any amount of time the Boyz just have to go full ballistic mode and run and gun hard. Loved that game last night.

29. Agree with Giroux. Looks like he’s getting some sleep now. Old guys take a bit to warm up. It hi k Batherson looked good too. Lots of positives, all the things you mentioned and Jenson is looking decent, Chabot is looking good too and has been a beast in Corsi.

30. Couple nights before? The night before! And he went into OT plus he had to get to Ottawa to be the backup. They had no intention of playing him that night until Forsberg went haywire.

31. Too many chances given to Mads/Forsberg. Any other option will be an improvement at this point.

32. Ullmark has a strain, they would've kept him out just the give him an extra day to rest it up before it turned into something worse.

    I really think the rhetoric of panic and lack of confidence is a bit premature. Let's not forget its 3 games into an 82 game season. I know we've gotta get off to a great start, but lets assess at 10 games, not 3.

    Canucks have 2 OTL
    Calgary are 3-0

    Its just so early in the season. Trust thr boys, trust the process, and GO SENS GO
