  1. When Monahan left Winnipeg I was upset, but now knowing he left us to play with his best friend, I don't hold any grudges whatsoever.
What a beautiful tribute by the Blue Jackets for Johnny Hockey.
R.I.P. and condolences to his family, friends and his fans.

  2. Man it’s one thing pointing to the sky. Lots of people do that in deferent sports to pay homeage.

He literally looked right up as if he was there. One of the best tribute goals in sports history .

  3. Man, I remember when Monahan was on the outs in Calgary. Wanted so bad for my team to pick him up, and never did. Then was moving on from Montreal, still didn't go for him. Then out from Winnipeg. Still nothing.

Guy had hit a rut for a bit, but he's always been a heart player, and I'd have taken him on my team any day of any week. No surprise to see something like this from him. Rock on, Sean. 🍻

  4. As someone who lost my best friend when I was in my 20s this brings all those memories back. The realization that I’ll never get to grow old with him. Sean and Johnny were such great friends on and off the ice.
