Cardinals coaches address lack of pressure on opposing QBs: ‘Got to do a better job collectively’

“The Cardinals only blitz 15.1% of the time, less often than in 2023 (22.5%) and the second-lowest rate in the NFL ahead of the Buffalo Bills.”

  1. It’s amazing how little pressure you get on the quarterback when you have zero pash rushers.

Or when your best excuse for a pash rusher is either a converted middle linebacker or an undersized career special teamer.

“Team with thirty year track record of failure is surprised when they fail”. There. Fixed the headline.

  2. 100% a personnel issue. I actually like the schemes and adjustments on the defense for second half of games, but the talent level on the defense just isn’t there, especially when it comes to pass rushing.

This is all on Monti. We have a lot of cap space for next season so I get the idea and plan, but his FA signings have been awful to say the least.

  3. I pretty much just realized this season is over just being realistic. If we blitz more to help this abysmal d line, then we have to depend on our secondary playing man more. Our secondary is not good at all and budda and Thompson aren’t coverage specialist. Kyzir isn’t playing good. Like who even is our CB1?? Murphy bunting? Starling?? We’re going to stick bunting or thomas on Justin Jefferson??

The only saving grace which isn’t really because 1 player can’t fix a defense. If d Robinson ends up being an elite talent. If we can actually get pressure we can let the secondary play zone more. If im wrong someone please explain how. Id like to give Rallis shit but he’s basically saying our secondary is terrible, but our d line is also terrible.
