In this game the Cleveland Indians avenged their 1996 loss to the Baltimore Orioles anchored by their pitching staff featuring both Mike Messina and David wells. In 1996, before the Orioles lost to the yankees, they beat the Indians in four largely largely in part to David Wells and even in 1997, they almost took down the mighty Indians who had just beat the Yankees and it was clear that the difference in the Orioles was not having David wells, and it was all by the Cleveland Indians thanks in part to a great game of a career pitch by Charles Nagy and a 11th inning HOME RUN BY Tony Fernandez, that the Baltimore Orioles could have easily been the 1997 ALCS champions when the World Series if they would have managed to keep David Wells so the Yankees decided that they would sign both Mike massena and David Wells going into 1998 and this is what rocketed there Dynasty adding these left and right handed pictures to The talented left-handed arm of Andy pettit, the veteran presence of David kong, and who would be joining them in the middle of the Year none other than I’ll do okay Orlando Hernandez.
The Indians defeated the Orioles in 6 games to advance to the World Series against the Florida Marlins in this game and the ALCS MVP was Marquis Grissom. If the Indians would have done with the Yankees did, and signed Mussina after this game and they would have been the team with Dynasty and not the Yankees.
