[Highlight] Shohei Ohtani crushes his first home run of the NLCS and extends the Dodgers lead

  1. Might have been the most predictable Shohei homer of all time.

Also WTF. I don’t think I saw him finish running the bases before this went up

  2. He’s playing a video game and saving all his power ups for the high leverage situations

  3. I really do not think its an anomaly. He’s trying too hard to get a solo shot with no one on but with runners on he seems to be telling himself ok wait for the pitch and get them in. I dunno at the least its possible. Hit him 4th fuck it.

  4. Dave roberts: Shohei, you need to be a more of a team player

    Shohei: Say no more fam

Dave Roberts: Well ok, that’s not what I meant but I’ll take it.

  5. He is the antithesis of the dodgers of years past. So many octobers of shitting the bed with RISP. Now we have the guy who can only hit with RISP

  6. Should they actually consider taking him out of the leadoff spot if he’s currently only hitting well with RISP? With men on base it’s almost guaranteed!

  7. I think Shohei gets really lonely when he’s on the field, and he feels sad. That’s why he hits terribly with nobody on.

When he sees his friends on base, then he is happy and absolutely crushes the pitch.

  8. 1. Never get involved in a land war in Asia
    2. Never go in a against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
    3. Never pitch to shohei when there are men on base.

  9. NL managers really don’t know what an intentional walk is. There isn’t a single reason to pitch to him with RISP and a base open.

  10. Ohtani w/o runners on base: Ned Flanders

Ohtani with runners on base: Chappell Show Wayne Brady

  11. Idk man, I want the Mets to make the World Series and play the Subway Series (if only cause the Sidetalk videos would be delightful), but this homer got me all jazzed thinking about a Shohei/Judge WS, and that’s too spicy to resist.

  12. “It’s too high”

“What does that mean, too high?”

    “Looked too high”

“Who gives a shit, it’s gone”
