  1. Mahomes is great but a little overrated in terms of being untouchable. Somebody tell me why his Stats are trash if he's so great? Like he's not where near top-tier statistically the past 2 yrs. Winning is a team stat btw. That's why the Vikings are good, it's not Darnold is so good.

  2. My thoughts:
This segment is part of ESPN’s new content strategy as they shift away from viewer ratings on cable and focus on (flawed) social media engagement numbers. Panelists are required to give hot takes with numbers and stats which argue in opposition of the clear and obvious answer.
For instance, SAS only focuses on Lakers, Cowboys, and other high profile ppl/teams topics for viewer engagement. Whether good or bad, this strategy has been applied everywhere. ESPN isn’t making these shows to produce good tv but more so good clips for social media. There is probably much more to it but it’s a bunch I have. If you doubt me look up the Pat McAfee show from the summer of 2023 as he talks about his meetings with ESPN heads and how his show is directly influential for strategy:

  3. Come on, y’all lol. No disrespect to Purdy, but he isn’t getting chosen over Mahomes. Yall could’ve at least gave Purdy a chance by asking who will have the better game this Sunday based off current stats. That would at least make for a more interesting and entertaining convo.

  4. This is more of a test for brock and offense going agaisnt the #8 defense. Mahomes is gonna mahomes and all they can go is slow him down to give Purdy a chance to get ahead

  5. So this is just a quick and random take I was thinking. I know we have freak athletes like Wendy, Greek Freak, and such. How do you think they would perform as Running back, Quarterback, or such?

  6. Regular season doesn't matter look at it Lamar Jackson n josh Allen both beat mahomes in da regular season n wen it mattered mahomes won

  7. I feel like Patrick Mahomes is not chasing stats anymore he’s chasing history and that’s not always going to look pretty, especially when everyone treats you like their SB every week. Also, Juju torched the 49ers with the Chiefs in 2022 so he very well could have another good game, Reid always knows how to draw it up.

  8. Purdy is fooling y’all lol

Purdy lost cmc and still has 4 all pro weapons, top 3 rushing attack and shanhan system.

What other QB’s has two all pro weapons ? Purdy has 4 and 5 with cmc lol

Purdy can’t carry normal or avg NFL teams. He needs all pros to be productive

  9. Gimme Mahomes and KC to win. They're the champs, they're unbeaten, and all but the win vs NO were by one possession. So they know how to win close games. Purdy is not the reason the 49ers lost the SB. Purdy may have a better game statistically but SF has been finding ways to lose close games. Lost to MN by 5, and lost to the Rams and AZ by a field goal in the final minute. They and DET are still the favorites to win the NFC. But they need to get it in high gear, as we near the halfway point of the season. And what better way to get started than by getting a little revenge on KC. But to be honest I don't see them winning this one

  10. Im taking brock purdy trust him more this season then Patrick mahomes. Purdy has the better team… idk how this is a discussion to be honest
