For Taylor and the pick from Carolina, practically a first round pick sure. The multiple day one pick thing cannot be done.
VeLus Jones Jr, 2025 first round, and 2026 3rd round for Crosby. Then we still have Carolina 2nd round pick, which is almost like a late 1st round.
We need offensive line help more then we need maxx Crosby
If they were to pull this off. The pressure on opposeing qbs is gonna be insane and the best secondary in the league would eat ints left and right. We need a offensive line player but getting max would be extremely good 50/50 with either .
Here’s the thing. I don’t think you’re going to find a blue chip player at tackle or guard with their own first this year.
So the proposition of getting a top tier rusher from a sinking team is way too much value to pass up. You might as well get a asset now that you can use to build a culture and reset the tone so that you can hopefully make a mini run this year to set the tone then maybe really compete by year 2-3 of Caleb.
You got 2 terrible teams that already sold on talent that have elite pass rushers. Myles Garrett and Crosby are both players who warrant giving up your first this year plus another pick to compliment sweat. Build a juggernaut defense. That’s a QBs best friend.
Both pass rushers are in prime and have a few years left on deal. Will most likely see another deal in Chicago too.
No team is gonna give you an elite lineman this year anyone. Get your pass rusher now. Then use your 2 2nds and free agency to go solidify your offensive line. Plenty of good centers and guards to be had in the early second where panthers pick will be. Maybe even a hidden gem tackle if you find one.
