Reds are small market, thus can't spend for free agency like L.A. and N.Y… The days of the Big Red Machine are over. Sure, they have 5 starters, but they are only good for 5 to 6 innings. It takes big additional monies to get quality 7,8, & 9 inning relief pitchers. The Reds won't spend what they don't have. All this said, the Reds are doomed in the future to be a 81-81 at best. It is not fair, but the inevitable.
Reunite Francona and Bauer. Can sign Bauer without spending $$$. Great ROI
Reds need to after Fry from Cleveland he is a catcher&1st baseman& DH
be a great back up
Get rid of Candy first
Trevor Bauer should get a call
I think Bauer is a good idea as well. Sign him now!! He’s hungry to play!
The Reds should focus on trading Shohie Ohatani and mookie Betts from the dodgers and Aaron judge from the Yankees and four starting pitchers from Japan and then focus on going undefeated all season long
9:42🤪
The reds are not going to sign anyone. They are all ready crowded at every position. Maybe A starter or relief pitcher. Possibly a trade to free up a spot.
It's time to sign Bauer. Not only would he cost next to nothing but he's a damn good pitcher and has so much knowledge to share with the other pitchers.
I see no downside. Give him options and send him down if he's soooo toxic that he can't be in an MLB clubhouse.
Pete Alonso?
Was watching a Dom Rep game last night Tigres De Licey vs. Giantes. The camera spanned the dugout and here sits Elly De La Cruz off in the corner by himself. The announcer pointed him out. He looked like he was observing and taking notes. He played for the Tigres. So Elly is back at work in the Dom Republic league!
Scared money doesn't win the Championship. Good luck with bargain shopping 🛍 👍
The Reds can offer Martinez a qualifying offer for approximately $20m. He will turn it down and look for a 3 year deal that the Reds will not offer him in free agency.
I loved that this episode came to a screeching halt for you to do a Hims ad 😅
Any player who ended the season with a negative WAR or OPS+ under 100 needs to be realistic when it comes to negotiating a contract extension.
No.
Hahaha Jeff said you can get hard and stay hard 😆
I read that the Reds aren't expected to keep Espinal. Bummer, guy proved to be more productive than Guys like Marte and Strand both looked terrible.
I still maintain that McClain will end up being the best of the bunch at least in terms of consistency.
The reds will never be big spenders but we have to give Tito more pieces to help him win sooner than later
This is Santander's best season. Is it an outlier. I like Teoscar Hernandez
The move I would make if I were the Reds ( if I were Francona it would have been the first call I made after firing the "hitting coaches ) offer Joey Votto the job as Hitting Coach. Who would be a more perfect fit ? The young guys LOVED him when he played here, they respect him as well. This team is based on SPEED….but you don't get to use your speed hitting .230 and striking out 150 times ! These kids need to learn the strike zone, cut down on strikeouts, walk more and up their average. Joey is the KING of OBP…who better to teach them ?
