  1. I just stumbled on this video. Defense all boils down to pressure on the QB. Vonn Bell is not all-pro, just sort of a fan favorite who likely will not be around next year. This team would not have reached out to re-sign Bell had ALL or at least a few, well one or two, of those DBs they drafted the last few years to replace Jesse Bates can perform up to the level expected. They selected edge rushers Sample, Ossai, and recently Myles Murphy. NOTHING gents. I think you underestimate what needs fixing. It's more than just replacing one guy. On offense, a running threat would enhance the passing game strength Burrows has right now with Chase and Higgins. So, these stumble bums get Zack Moss cheap and give away Joe Mixon. What sort of year is Mixon having in Houston thus far? Get the picture? There is more that is needed to be fixed. Also, you don't wait until the season starts. You draft well, get good proven free agents, don't settle for Moss when your division rival gets Derrick Henry. Get it?

  2. In the (1st) 2 games they had BJ Hill & Sheldon Rankins, the defense played well. They played well last wk. I believe the 2ndary will be vastly improved from here on out

  3. Bengals DL has been decimated by injuries

Bengals had 4 DL injured prior to the chiefs game and then BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins left during the chiefs game with injuries (Hill in the 2nd quarter and Rankins in the 3rd quarter). Bengals signed 34 yr old Lawrence Guy Wednesday before MNF

Myles Murphy (1st round pick 2023) is out 4-6 weeks with knee injury. Missed 1st 3 games

Kris Jenkins (2nd round pick 2024) had thumb surgery but just came back to practice Wednesday before MNF with a club. Missed first 2 games and played some in 2nd half on MNF (wouldn't have played if didn't have so many injuries on DL)

McKinnley Jackson, Rookie but important depth is on IR for leg/ankle injury. Missed first 3 games

Cam Sample is out for year with torn Achilles… had successful surgery

BJ Hill had a knee injury leading up to chiefs game and then left the chiefs game with hamstring injury. Did not play on MNF

Sheldon Rankins left chiefs game with hamstring injury. Did not play on MNF

Sam Hubbard has been playing with injuriy that will have to be managed all season per Sam in an interview at beginning of season

Been saying this since before the chiefs game when there were already concerns with 4 DL injuries

  4. don't get it twisted, the secondary has played awful (especially the secondary). but the defensive line (outside of trey hendrickson) has played bad too. hendrickson has 5 sacks on the season………..the rest of the team has 3 sacks. part of that did have to do with the defensive line not being healthy in the first 4 weeks. hill and rankins missed weeks 3 & 4, jenkins missed the first 2 games, miles murphy and mckinnley jackson missed the first 4 games. cam sample is out for the year. also, I heard that sam hubbard was playing through a grade 3 hamstring and wasn't on the injury report for whatever reason. the secondary has played bad but the d-line isn't doing them much favors if any.

also, going into this season, I felt like jordan battle was better than vonn bell the whole time and it was evident just off of how good he was during his rookie year. I'm glad that jordan battle is getting used more often because he should have been used earlier.

  5. Don’t be so sure. Lou has been stubborn af. The whole fanbase knew that Battle should have been playing, Lou wld not change up. It also isn’t the first time he’s acted this way.

  6. 20-13 bengals win, Higgins gone have a big game, we know how Cleveland coming they play a lot of man to man so the gone double chase, run game has to be key to win control the browns d -line

  7. Bengals have to beat the crooked referees. Anyone been keeping track of penalties called against Cincinnati opponents? 3-4 quarters with hardly any holding calls? Give me a break. No offense we have played so far is that clean!
Have to make the scores without any possibility of "questionable" penalties on key plays. Stop the running game against Cleveland!
