CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS INSTANT REACTION

CLEVELAND BROWNS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS INSTANT REACTION

The Cleveland Browns started slow, but a Nick Chubb late touchdown cut the deficit to just one point in this Week 7 AFC North matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The biggest story of the first half though was the health of Deshaun Watson, who suffered a right leg injury late in the second quarter. Initial replays look like a potential torn achilles for the team’s franchise QB.

With Watson out, Dorian Thompson-Robinson (DTR) stepped in for Watson, and Jameis Winston is now his backup.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense was out of synch all half, as the Browns defense shut them down completely. A Charlie Jones opening kickoff return TD was the Bengals lone points of the half.

The Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) and Cleveland Browns (1-5) will kick off NFL Week 7’s Sunday afternoon slate. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET from Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on CBS. The game can be streamed live on Paramount+, YouTube TV and other streaming platforms.

The Bengals are consensus 5.5-point favorites over the Browns on the spread (Bengals -5.5), with the over/under set at 41.5 points. Cincinnati is -250 on the moneyline to win outright, while Cleveland is +200 to pull off the upset.

The Bengals won 17-7 against the Giants last week. Joe Burrow ran for a 47-yard touchdown and threw for 208 more yards. The Browns lost their fourth straight game 20-16 to the Eagles last week. Deshaun Watson’s horrible season continued in Philadelphia, and he now has just 5 touchdown passes through 6 games.
