  1. We had 0 expectations. Started as the worst team in baseball. “Ace” was hurt all season. Basically no starting pitching . No relief pitching. No bottom half of the order. Rookie manager making big mistakes (not playing Winker? Leaving Manaea in? 🤦‍♂️) and we made it this far. We made something out of nothing this year. Cohen is willing to make big moves, pivot on a dime. I got faith.

I’m so proud and looking forward to making big moves this off season!

    LFGM!!

  2. thank you Metropolitans for an AMAZING season and for being AMAZING!!! Keep your heads up and be proud! ❤❤❤. Thank you Steve and rest of SNY staff for always the top notch analysis.

MLB are quiet salivating for another dodger-yankee matchup esp Sith their new baby ohtani

  3. The mets pitching was terrible. They gave up 6+ runs in 5 of the 6 games. Unfair to expect Mets hitting to overcome the 7.7 runs a game their pitching gave up this series.

  4. Like Chipper Jones once said now you can go put your Yankee hats on lol, I feel for Mets fans generations of fans never going to get a taste of winning a world series, 1986 is a long time ago, they give you these runs where you 'believe' but then it ends in heartbreak. When McNeil struck out on 3 pitches in the 3rd with the bases loaded the game was over.

  5. I'm not even upset about the outcome. Disappointed, sure, but the clock finally struck midnight after a miraculous run. Kenny Rogers ball 4 still keeps me up. Scioscia taking Doc deep in '88. Timo not running, Wainwright's curve, tbe '07 and '08 collapses — I stare at the ceiling. But not tonight, not for these guys. So proud of this team!!

  6. "The Magic ran out" and "They didn't generate enough hits" are pretty poor takes in an elimination game where the Mets two highest paid starting pitchers combined to allow 8 runs scored.

  7. Walks and clutch hitting. This is what won the Dodgers the series. They almost always got a big hit. The Mets were like 1 for 700 with the bases loaded, and when you leave the bases loaded so much you're not going to win.

  8. As Yankee fan, Im proud to be a New Yorker, thanks to the 2024 Mets. You guys were awesome and so were the Met fans too. I was really hoping for a Subway world series, because i neber wanted the Mets season to end. Hats off to the 2024 Mets

  9. What great run! I’m here for Gary to comfort us and to hear his voice one more time until next season! I think most of us are now officially Dodgers fans. Beat the Yankees!! 😂😂. Mets Nation forever!!

  10. Dodgers are plain n gonna be the bump in the road to get to the World Series for the next few years to come just how the Astros were for the Yankees

  11. Imagine if Mets went all in this yr. Our biggest FA signing was JD so u know Mets punted on season… trying to develop & staying competitive. Let this be a lesson that we can't do both.

  12. From a Dodgers fan, Mets are an awesome team, and should be proud of this season. I have a feeling you are on your way up, and soon be the alphas of the NL East.

  13. Great outcome for a transition year. A lot of the 1 year bets paid off or were cheap enough to dump and try other players who ended up key to the team's run.
Now that the payroll clears up a ton, Sterns will invest wisely in the future while giving opportunities for prospects to turn into solid contributors. If we can revitalize pitchers like Manaea and Severino, we won't have to chase the top end free agents on risky long term contracts.

    Excited for 2025 and beyond.

  14. Im a dodger fan. This was a very stressful game. Couple of hits with risp, mets force a game 7. I think almost every inning was stress for the dodgers pitching.

  15. Yeah that's the problem with ALWAYS RELYING ON MAGIC LIKE THE MUTS ALWAYS DO , LOL 😅😅😅 !! The Yankees always rely ON BEING GOOD which is ALOT MORE RELIABLE FACTOR ! MAGIC FADES AWAY SOONER OR LATER ;being GREAT DOESNT !!
