15. Nothing new with Stone. We've always known Stone is great at negotiating contracts. People declaring him the greatest GM ever forgetting he's not great at making those moves on the margins, and that's the difference between a good gm and a great gm. Hopefully he grows in that area. It does look very good though if your on the restructure and extend FVV team. Also no constant contract talk during the season to distract them is another plus.

23. I am genuinely surprised they got both of these contracts done.I really didn't think there was a way to keep the core 7 together. I now think it is probable than we keep them together.

31. I'm sorry but since when scamming our own home-grown players is a W? I mean yes, when you compare what those guys worth and the money they're getting, you say that this deal is a W. But that's the problem itself. Just because FO can do it doesn't necessarily mean that they "should". We OVERpayed vets like VanVleet and Brooks but we're also happy when underpaying our own guys? Don't get me wrong, i love our vets and what they brought to the table. But if you are overpaying guys that don't worth that much money and underpaying home-grown young stars, i can't look at this like a W. They are kids, ofc they want the money now. But as a Rockets FO, they should've been more "caring" towards our own guys. These kids have been in a race with their peers from the '21 draft. All the supposedly "high-valued" guys got big money. You may say that Jalen didn't deserve max and i wouldn't oppose that but at least our steal from that draft, 22 yo next Jokic from the 16th overall, should've got a max. I'd be more happy if they hold the contract for this year and give him the max next year instead of scamming him and insulting him by underpaying him.

36. You got to give Stone credit to get Green and Sengun on some team friendly deals is nothing sort of amazing.

    This gives Jalen some time to see he can be part of the core moving forward and if he thinks it up due to how favorable his contract is we can still move him if possible but for now the rockets want to see if Jalen can reach his full potential

    Also for Jalen it’s a chance for him to ball out and get the max in his next contract

    For Sengun it’s a bit different he could have easily demanded the super max maybe about Franz Wagner money. But he took less because he wanted to be here long term and was willing to take less for the betterment of the team and the rockets view him as one of the guys.

    All in all rockets fans should be excited we got the deals done and now it’s possible we can keep all seven of the young guys which is crazy of itself
