What a great season especially considering the start, while I wanted to go to the world series, the Mets made a deep run … totally unexpected, and they gave me a month of some of the most exciting Mets baseball I have ever seen, congrats to Mendoza and the team for a successful winning season and building upon it for the next. What needs help in my opinion:
    – Need consistent pitching from starters from beginning to end.
    – Need severe help in the bullpen, Nunez back healthy will be a start keep Stanek, ditch Maton. Find two more quality arms. Diaz showed signs of 2022 level in the late post season, needs to bring that to the next season.
    – Vientos needs to work on the glove to hand transfer, too many bobbles, you cannot make these mistakes and expect to win especially in the post season.
    – Lindor just needs to keep being Lindor
    – Need to consider letting Martinez go and keeping Winker for that left handed DH
    – Need one or two more big bat in the line up especially with Alonso leaving (Alonso has been 240 BA the last two seasons, need a power hitter 270 or higher).

13. get rid of maton, ottavino asap… i think marte and mcneil are gone.. same for baty AND mauricio.. Id love to see Acuna shine in his first full year as a met 2b.. him and lindor would be deadly..

15. I know it’s WAY too early for FA predictions, but a young player I would LOVE to have on the Mets is outfielder Lawrence Butler from Oakland. Only 24 years old, had a breakout sophomore campaign, and has a ton of upside. He would also be a solid replacement for Marte in RF. It might be wishful thinking, but I would love for this to come to fruition.
