The Las Vegas Raiders are bringing in a new quarterback following the injury to Aidan O’Connell.

The Raiders are signing former third-round pick Desmond Ridder off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Ridder will join Gardner Minshew in the Raiders’ quarterback room. This signing comes after starting quarterback Aidan O’Connell suffered a fractured thumb in Week 7 and was placed on injured reserve on Monday.

Ridder was named the starter for the 2023 season and made 13 starts, leading the Falcons to a 6-7 record in those games. He completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 2,836 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He ran 53 times for 193 yards and five more touchdowns on the groundSigned QB Desmond Ridder to the active roster from the Arizona Cardinals practice squad; Placed QB Aidan O’Connell on the Reserve/Injured list; Signed WR Terrace Marshall and TE Trevon Wesco to the practice squad.

  1. The rumor has it that Brady is now a minority owner of the Raiders and he has recommended to Mark Davis to hire Belichick to coach the team. I would be ok with that as long as McDaniels stays the hell away from the team. The Raiders don’t need McDaniels anywhere close to the facility.

We fucked up when we hired that bump McDanials and then traded Carr after signing Adams, the chemistry has been off ever since, and then we let the OC get away bullshitting with the game now look at what we had to settle for, the same goes for QB, instead of going after Wilson for a little more than the vet minimum we went after 3 a game Minshew the defense was already cool, one or 2 pieces at the second level to add solidification, ok but the real focus should have been the O-line, unless you have a Russell Wilson it wouldn't matter who is under center, we can't run the ball.
