Oh what a surprise!!!!! They haven't had a sniper since Ziggy Palfey!!! You guys serious? Scoring? Really? They aren't even a good AHL team. Horvat is nothing without talent around him. Case and point. Peterson when he was on Vancouver. Since he came here…….nothing
I saved a bunch of money by not paying to watch this team.
i think we might need to finally start our rebuild this is gonna end poorly tryna hot fix out problems to try to stay in the mix i dont see the point trade BARZY and them for some players for the future we have Eiserman
While it's true, right now the Islanders definitely are definitely feeling some sort of power outage, they're scoring opportunities last night were many grade A chances. Lyons was exceptional last night. I don't need to hear about his historical numbers in the net. Last night, he was very very good. Additionally, you gave no mention or credit to the Islanders defense, which was, and really has been, outstanding. They are buying into the Roy system for sure. There were even plenty of step ups from the D last night that created opportunities. Please be equal in your assessments of this team in recognizing what's good just as much as what's bad in your opinions. Coach Roy last night echoed the same sentiments. I tend to trust a guy like him more than pundits looking at just the negatives. That said, Historically, Foudy is a nobody offensively, s it was a curious call up. Jefferies may have made more sense based upon his recent weekend performances with Bridgeport. And if it's not Matt Maggio or William Dufour time, then not sure when. Surely Wally time has taken it's course, and he should be exposed to the waiver wire. Many others as well. Let's at least try some of these major prospects that are sitting in the system while we have the opportunity. That said, the overriding factor is that everybody starts to understand that our defense is getting much better. Our goal tending is solid and those two combinations should end up successful for the New York Islanders, IMHO….
